The b team thing is becoming a pain in the ass. There are 6 people signed for tonight, and we were sitting around trying to fill spots last night. The result is that neither raid is going to happen.

With the final part opening up very soon we'll easily be able to fill 3 nights raiding. Can I suggest that we stop trying to run 2 guild groups for the time being? If you know you can't make it then pug away, saving half the guild to a different raid Id just causes issues if we don't have the same 20 people available for all 3 nights.

Yeah it makes sense to have a B-team when there were loads of guildies signing, but that's not happening anymore. There's likely to be a tipping point in every new content release where this is the case. I think we've reached it.

I think you'll find a fair few people pugging ICC 10 now though, and its not really fair to deride people who decide to do this. It's the double edge sword of having badge drops from bosses. Everyone wants their badges!

This always seems to be the case in MUK (and no doubt every other guild, ever). Massive interest in content to start, allowing us to run two groups, or even the odd 25 man, which wanes after a couple of weeks, whilst there is still too many for a 10 man group, leaving people not drafted and sitting on the sidelines missing out on badges, rep, loot, adventure etc, but not enough for a 25 man group either. Something's gotta give.

As long as the drafting stays fair (which I have no doubt it will as great lengths have gone into making it so, which is no doubt appreciated by everyone), then I don't forsee people having an issue with not being drafted occasionally. I understand sometimes people feel frustrated at being left out when there is exciting new content to see, new loot to grab and adventure to be had, but people must remember that, as a relatively small guild, sometimes people have to be sidelined for the good of others. The important thing to realise is, though you may not be drafted this week, or even next week, your turn will come eventually. And of course you can pug it if you're feeling brave. No way in hell will I be doing that, though. Even the thought of trying to pug it gives me nightmares. Can you imagine Rotface in a pug?

With regards to last night I'm going to be honest: I wanted to go on a fresh run rather than join a half completed raid. Selfish, perhaps, but that was my reason for not volunteering. That and the fact you asked for a healer, which I can't do. I mean I'm good, but I'm not that good ;):(

The simple fact is that the new wings of ICC are bloody hard, and will get easier faster if our gear (as a guild) improves, and this leaves people scrabbling not to be "left behind" as they watch each other gear up. At least, I know I'm guilty of that feeling  Frost emblems are the best way to gear up at the moment, and the best way to get those is to go to ICC and kill as much as possible, not necessarily get as far as possible. As a guild, I think we're always going to be torn between a balance of guild progression, and getting as many people into the content as we can.

With that in mind, I think the misconception is that if the B-Team (probably an unhelpful term at this point, so let's just call it the second run) wasn't organised officially, it wouldn't happen at all, and there would therefore be a nice big pool of guildies ready to plug any gaps that emerge in the main run. That's a nice idea, and to some extent it would be true - as Mumps has said he wouldn't like to Pug ICC, for example. However, overall I suspect it'd be more like the effects of Prohibition, and the second run would still be organised, just in the speakeasies and opium dens of Dalaran, rather than on WRM/Raidar etc, albeit with more spots pugged, and with reduced chance of success.

I'll admit, I didn't volunteer last night for the same reason as Mumps - I wanted a fresh run, and there's still lots of shiny things available from the first wing. I was also conscious that if I went, that reduced the chance of the second run happening (healer spots being tougher to pug than DPS), and that I'd rather raid on the same night as Elle where possible (something that's usually taken into account in drafts, and I'm very grateful for that by the way ;)). I won't pretend it was entirely selfless, but neither was it a completely selfish decision.

Anyways, here's what I suggest for the future: People who can make the raid nights sign for the main raid as per usual. Those who can't, or may not be able to make it for whatever reason can of course pug it instead, no questions asked. When Tuesday rolls around, a second group can decide if they want to knock something together / pug the gaps and at least blow through the first wing. Maximum badges, maximum attendance, maximum funs.

Just an idea :(

Random addendum: Considering the silly cost of Frost Lotuses at the moment, I've put 10 of each type of flask in the officer's tab of the gbank.

Well I dont know whats happening tonight if your gonna try for the 10 man or what, but maybe we could try a 25 man tonight as none (as far as i know) are saved to one and so everyone could go in Muk who wants to and then we pug last few spots??? even if its only first 4 bosses it would still be nice for everyone to get to raid this week??? Not sure how interested anyone is in this?? im usually at college tonight but it got canceled :P so i dont mind!!

If thr 10 man can go ahead go for that but was just thinking?? i dont know, throwing it out there!!

We have unfinished business in Ulduar.

Some of us whom went to Ulduar often have gathered some achievements over the past months. I believe I have 6 of the achievements for the 310% rusted proto drake and I know the same applies to some of you. Now, I have asked before if there is anyone interested and the general feedback is positive.

Now, I am willing to organize Ulduar Achievements raids but I need to know a certain day. It is not my intention to plan it on any of the usual 3 raiding days now we are raiding ICC. So does anyone have a good suggestion? Perhaps 1 or 2 hours on a Wednesday? Do it one achievement at a time? Saturday after midnight? I know most of you have social responsibilities and I do not want to have you raid 4 days a week.

Any feedback is welcome. Apart from 'can I come?'.

I know Grahl, myself, Cham and Jera all said yes to this I was going to arrange it after I got back from Jera's this week

How about this Friday we make a start on it?? Start around 9pm and see how we get along?? if everyone can make it

We would have healers sorted, and a tank so would need 1 more tank and some dps (or healer / dps hybrids so we can change)

Let us see how many people are online on Friday's as Chaun suggested. I'll try to create one in WRM.

Please keep in mind that this is a Achievement run and some of the achievements will not be easy. Instead of doing a full clear of the place we will focus on getting (an) achievement(s) done, and this can mean called wipes.
