Choc can't tank, he is nub!

Not sure what use it is, but from what I gather the leaching swarm hit's for a minimum of 250/350 per second. So if you can gather about that much passive healing (JoL, Healing Stream's e.t.c.) you could pretty much forget about healing anyone bar the tank and whoever's got the penetrating cold debuff.

Fin doing the mortal strike will no doubt help too. Good luck!

Leaching is just as panic inducing as it is on normal. It's the addition of Penetrating cold ticking for 6k when everyone is under half health and needing to heal two random people within 3 secs so they don't die to the first tick that ratchets it up a notch or three.

Edit: Cham's disco balls are supposed to be a BIG help. Of course the tanks living through this while we arse about making sure the DPS live is another matter entirely.

At least it's not 25 man though where the raid are kept at around 1000hp through P3...

I dont mind dpsing or healing it, DPS obviously gives the 3% haste, 5% crit and 13% spell damage increase which helps the mages get the maximum dps they can in the time, healing I bring what choc brings

If all the ranged dps stack up, wild growth is a great spell to use when they are low on hp. Every 6 seconds it tops up the closest and lowest 5 health allies every second, starts around 700 but drops with each tick. But i reckon with the totems and such like nugg suggested you would be able to simply ignore all the people with the occasional wild growth to keep up. We have enough people who can help off heal if it got nasty but should be ok

That video looks like a decent tactic. Still using Chams long kite idea, but 3 patches per round.

It uses all of the ice patches which should be fine, if we need three burrow phases the enrage timer will be very close anyway.

We hit phase 3 quite a few times, it seems really nasty for the healers though. The leeching poison, tanks to keep up and penetrating cold flying around all at the same time. I think I heard Cham throw away his ciggies and unwrap a king eddie cigar at one point, so you know it's bad.

We were getting miles better throughout the night, it's good to have a hard boss to work on. Excellent fun too.

Going into P3 just after he comes back from a burrow is the worst as people have the nasty debuff from the little adds in addition to everything else. I think that's what killed us on our best attempt. Clearing the adds up quickly and getting to P3 before the second burrow would make things much much simpler. Anyway, next week we get to wipe 27 times while the healers learn P3 <_<

Also agreeing with Batty that was good fun. Reminded me of our Freya+3 attempts of a while back. Chaos initially and then gradually getting things under control.

The random spikes changing target bullshit sucked ass though.

Apparently it's certain spot(s) on the floor that cause it, generally nearer the centre of the room where the debris is. If you kite more towards the edge of the room it doesn't happen.

Also if you can get a holy paladin in then do so. The difference in healing (when using 2 healers) is night and day.

Not sure if I'm going to make any raids till after Xmas! Work are packing me off to London 3 days a week for the next 4 weeks to train me up in stuff. I may make the occasional Sunday.. possibly.

on topic, last night was real fun actually, nice hard boss for a change, no free lot! everyone pulled together and kept making suggestions on how to do things, think with a bit more practice and gear we will be well away!

I've signed for the combined TotGC/Ulduar hard mode raids but just wanted to say that if there's going to be another guild alt run to Ulduar this week I'd quite like to go along to get to see a bit more of the content. Although I'm interested in coming along to Ulduar hard modes, I think I began signing at a time when there wasn't an awful lot of interest in Ulduar (understandably for those who have run it over & over!) so many of the raids couldn't happen or we just had enough for one night. This means that I've done the first few bosses a number of times & one of the last ones, but until last weeks alt run I'd never seen any of the watchers. (Thanks for organising the alt run Chaun - very good fun^^)

I'm not sure if there'll be another alt run, (or even if I'd be around if one was going on) but I just wanted to let people know that there's a possibility that I'd go. I'll add a note to my sign up if I do end up going along to Ulduar so it's clear for Fin doing the drafts. Let me know if this just makes it stupidly complicated though!

Just to reiterate that I'm definitely still interested in Ulduar hard modes, it's just that I'd like to get to see a bit more of the content too if I can. :(

Nobody else reliably brings replenishment. If we don't have you or Fin doing it we rely on one of the mages biting the bullet and specing Frost or in truly desperate times we'd make Mot go Ret and nobody wants that.

Time again for Ulduar alt runs!!!

Friday night was a success so Friday is always a good time to have it alas means Pete cant make it, so how about making is a Tuesday night? Around 8pm we can start finish around 10.30-11pm ?? If thats ok and your interested either tell me in game or on here and i'll keep a note.. so between Friday or Tuesday you pick!! which ever has the most responses gets the go ahead, if they are a draw then Tuesday wins out :)

A new boss, hopefully have time to see and do him, we can then try for Freya again or even Mimiron so we can see all the watchers, if we get a solid full 10 man muk group we could always extend the lock out so we can try to get to yogg even if its only to see him rather than kill him
