PM'd CR earlier and no response from my FR so didn't seem to appear online tonight, I'm happy for it to go to a cointoss if Corky is.

I'll forfeit this to you mate, I'm probably not going to be around much in the next few days. I managed to get on for a bit last night but then had to go.

Good luck in the rest of the competition.

I'm such a fool. I've just remembered I've got the day off tomorrow because the office is closed and I'm supposed to be going out for dinner in the evening. Any chance we can play during the day? 12 noon would be perfect for me.

I've just played Razzle and over the 2 legs Racing qualify for the final.

Racing win 7-3 on aggregate

Racing (Webbinho) 2-1 Genoa (Razzle)

Genoa finished the match with only 8 men, although it wasn't a particulary dirty game at all. Munitis used his pace and got clipped a couple of times with the ref dishing out 3 straight red cards! Racing couldn't make the advantage pay and kill the tie off, so Genoa were well in touch with the away goal to their name.

Genoa 2-5 Racing

Racing started well, going ahead after just 6 minutes, but Genoa levelled it up shortly afterwards to make it interesting. Racing then raced into a 5-1 lead, with Tchite and Munitis causing alot of problems for the Genoa defense.

Thanks for the games mate, all the best in the league.

Scores confirmed.

Genoa had the best of it in the first half of the first leg but after that it was all Racing. If I had finished better it could have made things more interesting but it was all too easy for Webbinho in the end.

CFTG mate and good luck in the final.

Played the Intertoto semi with ASM, a real cup-tie!

First Leg: bph (Boro) 0 - ASM (Sampdoria) 2

Second Leg: ASM 2 - bph 5

Middlesborough win 5-4 on aggregate.

The 2nd match had everything; a sending off, multiple post hits, a penalty, disallowed goals and constant end-to-end action. ASM's finishing was deadly in the 1st game and I couldn't break his defence down at all, but in the 2nd I seemed to get the rub of the green and Middlesborough finally found their scoring boots.

Cheers for the games!

Confirmed

Two cracking games, I had one foot on the coach to the final and then I chucked it all away.

You were like a different team when you went down to 10 men.

Cheers for the games, and good luck in the final.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just played the final:

Webbinho 0 - bph 4

Very end-to-end and much closer than the score suggests with my keeper playing a bit of a blinder keeping Webbinho out. Middlesborough's strikers decided to pack their shooting boots today and after I went 2-0 up, Racing's defence seemed to drop a little and Tuncay put it beyond doubt.

Cheers for the game, good luck in the league!

Result confirmed.

I was a bit disappointed to lose 4-0, but thats football. Shots wise we were pretty even but even with 3 1 on 1's I couldn't score, the keeper and woodwork combining to keep me out, but you generally don't deserve to win if you conceed 4, so well played and all the best for the league run in.
