Good evening gentlemen. Just thought I'd say hello as your league admin'. Here's to a good season.

A few points to help make the season as smooth and enjoyable as it can be:

1. You've got 2 weeks to get games played from the date they become active. Ideally it would be best if you get games done within 1 week, but we're realistic.

2. Please organise ALL fixture dates / times through the fixture notes on the league site. This system makes it much easier to chase games, look at the history of a fixture etc. and is all we will take in to consideration if there are any problems.

3. If you do have any problems getting a game played (holiday, dead 360, shit Internet connection etc.), please PM me ASAP so I can give you an extension. Last minute excuses don't look good and mess the rest of the players around.

4. Should a fixture go past the 2 week period, I shall look at how much effort has been made to get the game played, and if a manager appears to be 'slacking' they will receive penalties in the form of docked points etc. Hopefully we can avoid this by just keeping the lines of communication open.

That's it. Hope you all have a great season and enjoy the football. If you've got any questions or owt, just give me a shout.

(Petey) Internacional 0 - 2 Fenerbahce (Slotter)

Good close game to get us kicked off to the season.

Had good chances at both ends, but Slotter took the advantage just before half-time with a dodgy goal where the cross was deflected into the air and then his attacker out-jumped everyone to stick it past the keeper.

Second goal in the second half came when a shot was parried then Slotter slotted the ball in for a rebound (sorry couldn't resist)

(Slotter) Fenerbahce 0 - 2 Internacional (Petey)

This game again was close, both had a few early chances, but nothing clear.

First goal came when a crossed ball was headed towards goal only to hit the bar and then bounce onto the line, it didn't look like it was in but (as in 1966) they went to the Russian linesman who said it was a goal.

The second goal was played through the midfield and created space for Daniel Carvalho who placed it past the keeper.

Well played Slotter, enjoyed the chat and your keeper with his vodka and orange :)

Looking forward to a good season, feeling confident :(

Shall see you around for some friendlies sometime.

Hi fellas, played wiener last night:

Celtic (wiener) 0 - 2 Bolton (reef)

Bolton 2 - 0 Celtic

2 very close games, identical in nature. Both sides had decent chances when the ball wasn't in the middle of the continuous midfield pinball play. I took the lead in both games at about the 70 min mark, both from crosses at the by-line and put in from 2 yards out. After that it was a case of trying to hit on the break. The first game was a long ball which fortunalley for me the defender slotted just past his keeper as the keeper ran out to collect. The 2nd game a through ball released eagle eyed Davis, who spotted the keeper charging out and lobbed him from 25 yards. Both games could have been won by wiener, but for Jussi making a great save in each game.

Cheers for the games and good luck with the rest of yours...

Goals:

1 x Davis

1 x McCann

1 x Elmander

ASM 1 - 2 rokforce

CFTGs ASM. They were incredibly close and two draws would have definitely been a fairer reflection of the games. Have no idea how I held on in the second match, you must have hit every part of my goalframe twice.

Good luck in the rest of the season.

Slotter (Fenerbahce) 1 - 0 (Bolton Wanderers) Reef

Reef (Bolton Wanderers) 1 - 1 (Fenerbahce) Slotter

Two pretty close games, a bit scrappy in places, with some moments of end to end quality (sort of!). The Fenerbahce goal in the first game was a bit lucky and the Bolton 'keeper saved a penalty later on. Bolton took the lead quite early on in the second game but an injury time equaliser from the Turks saved a point.

I've now won twice as many games as I did in the entirety of last season, so no matter what happens now it's more successful!

CFTG and the chat Reef, see you around.

rokforce (Sao Paolo) 7 - 1 bph (Middlesbrough)

bph 2 - 4 rokforce

Two very strange games with the main, if not only difference between the teams being the finishing of my forwards, which was clinical to say the least. You would never guess it from the scores, but we had the same amount of shots each in both games. They were both well contested matches and on another day I could have come away with nothing, but everything fell to a man in white for 180mins. Cheers for the games and comms bph, I hope you have better luck in the rest of the season.

(Gingerling) Palermo 1 - 3 Internacional (Petey)

Started the game well, but conceeded a strange OG, keeper passed it neatly into his own net with hardly any pressure.

From kick-off I went up the other end and scored and then Gingerling never really got back into this match.

After half time it was all Internacional.

Doubling my shots between first and second half, while Palermo could only manage one shot in the second half.

(Petey) Internacional 1 - 0 Palermo (Gingerling)

Took an early lead with a cracking scissor-kick-volley-thing from the edge of the box.

Then another bizarre incident, as the ball was played over the top my keeper runs out to clear and I press X (thinking I was the keeper) but no, I was the CB that was near Palermo's striker, so I hack him down and go down to 10.

From there on was really Palermo mostly, hit the post and tested my keeper a few times, should really of been a draw, but my defense battle through and kept hold of the 1-0 lead.

Could of doubled my lead on a few occasions, but couldn't find the net.

Well played Gingerling, you definately had me worried for most of that second game, was trying to hold out after going down to 10.

Good luck with the rest of the season :)

(Petey) Internacional 3 - 1 Santander (Webbinho)

2-0 up by half time, after some lovely team moves that opened up the defense.

Webbinho brought one back after half-time and it looked like it might go the way of the cup, and another comeback might be on.

But i got the 3rd goal and that killed off the rest of the Santander attack.

(Webbinho) Santander 1 - 0 Internacional (Petey)

Webbinho was 1-0 up inside 2 minutes and it stayed that way, a very open game with buckets of chances for both teams.

Internacional couldn't find the net though, only 3 goals on target from 9. Compared with Webbinho's 9/9 shots.

He was the better player, only really had chances on the break and half of them fizzed away with a misplaced pass.

Well played mate, felt I had to get something back off you after my cup exit :(

Played well in both and a win a piece is a fair result after both games.

Good luck with your season, maybe see you in the playoffs

My apologies for not reporting sooner (I forgot, oops) - 2 close games, am a bit gutted with that last minute equaliser but I can't argue with you taking 4 points really, you had the better play overall. Once again I'm failing to take my chances and having to rely on my keeper far too much. To be honest, I was happy to see Fenerbahce do well, they will always have a place in my heart.

Great chatting to you, good luck with the rest of your games. Keep playing like that and you'll get a few more wins I reckon.

Cheers

Sao Paolo (rokforce) 2 - 0 Celtic (Wienermo Kiev)

Celtic 1 - 3 Sao Paolo

Cheers for the matches. Shame about the weird lag which kept making the game pause and then start again. It didn't affect my game too much, was more annoying than anything else, how about you?

The matches themselves involved a lot of midfield play, with few chances at either end really. Not a lot of space for flowing moves but they were entertaining none the less.

Gingerling (Palermo) 0 - 2 (Fenerbahce) Slotter

Slotter (Fenerbahce) 0 - 0 (Palermo) Gingerling

news_manset_resim_6911_Fenerbahce_Palermo001.jpg

We've had a nightmare getting these games underway, our 360s have had a lovers tiff and didn't want to speak to each other, but once we did they were entertaining bouts. Fresh from a cup win early in the evening the Turks started strongly with a goal in the first few minutes and from then it was then pretty even, if a little bit scrappy, stuff. I didn't think 1-0 was enough and Gingerling had some opportunities to score denied by the 'keeper. Fenerbahce made the game certain with a second towards the end.

Game Two and it was end-end for the first 20mins and then Palermo's last defender made a strong challenge that ended with a straight red. Palermo kept at it for the rest of the game, threatening the goal themselves, and their great defending coupled with Fenerbahce's (well, mine I suppose) inability to score 1-on-1 with the keeper meant it ended in a draw.

CFTG and good luck for the rest of the season ;)

Saint 0 Vs ASM FC 0

ASM FC 0 Vs Saint 3

Really disappointed not to score in either game, I had a ton of really good chances, but my forwards were defiantly not in the scoring mood. Saint put away all the chances he had in the second match and that was really the big difference between the two teams.

ASM FC 7 Vs Legendary's Lions 0

Legendary's Lions 2 vs ASM FC 3

It looked like Legendary was having a nightmare in the first came, conceded 7 goals and had 3 players sent off. The Sampdoria front two where running riot and it could have been more, I missed two open goals! Sampdoria's stock formation of playing 3 at the back meant I had a ton of attacking options.

The second game was a classic. Legendary had a radical formation change and it made all the difference, I had no space to play, he got the early lead, and kept it till the start of the second half, the equaliser went in just after the break. Then is was back and forward till the last 5 minutes of the match. I scored in the 86 minute, Leg got one back on the 88 minute, and I managed to grab the winner in the 90 minute. Fantastic match, best i've played in with the new version of FIFA.

Cheers for the games.
