japanese xbox woes

Hi Forum,

First time poster, A friend of mine recommended this site with a problem I have so here we go.

Coming back from Japan I brought along my xbox 360 and ps2 with a bunch of crazy games, most of which I hadn't played.

Anyway I got back and bought an adapter, but when plugging in I heard a very faint snap sound from the brick power supply on the 360.

Going back to the shop they then recommended a big bastard adapter, almost as big as the 360 itself!, which i then tried.

Nothing...

Tried the ps2 and it worked...

So am guessing the fuse blew on the 360's power supply.

Now, which is the best course of action?

Replace the fuse? (i'm not a techy, so think i'll funk it up)

Any other advice... (be kind to noobs forum!)

By another power supply? (Will i need a japanese one or any will do?)

Thanks in advance and hope to contribute to this great site in the future.

LMNO.

What lights come on on the power brick?

But yeah, as the chap above said, I reckon a UK supply would work. Although the old model has a different connector to the hdmi one, so be aware.

Welcome to the forum, don't worry when someone says this should be in 'ask the forum' ;)

This should be in 'ask the forum' :(
