Jones looks so ready to stop talking and get this fight in the bag. You can see the belief, under all that shit, he knows he's gonna fuck DC up. I'm not a DC hater at all, I just think it's written all over him at this point.

I reckon come Saturday it could be the biggest whooping ever seen in the octagon.

I cant stand Jones, but no denying he's a stupendous talent. At the presser he looked like a man that's about to put two years of strife into 25 minutes and leave it all in the Octagon.

DC is going to get wrecked.

The thing is DC and their first fight is that when DC wins fights, mostly by (but not always) outworking the other guy, out wresting and DC also has good hands to set it all up with. The problem is, DC couldn't do that against Jones. I don't quite know how he thinks it'll be different this time. if DC wins, it's by KO I suppose.

I can see Jones vs Lesnar happening, but not anytime soon.

The heavyweight Division needs a jump start too. This is the top 10 at the moment

Champion : Stipe Miocic

1Alistair Overeem

2Fabricio Werdum

3Cain Velasquez

4Junior Dos Santos

5Francis Ngannou

6Mark Hunt

7Derrick Lewis

8Alexander Volkov

9Stefan Struve

10Marcin Tybura

When is Cain back!? We need Cain. That's only title fight that looks any good from this list.

Wish that one was a 5-round fight as it has the potential to be a classic. I think Lawler takes it though. Cowboy's always entertaining but when it matters he does have a tendency to under-deliver. Either way it's a great addition to a cracking-looking card & with the disappointment of the numbered events this year I really hope this one lives up to the billing. Can't wait.

I think Jones is the better fighter, but I cant stand him. I like DC a lot actually, so I'm rooting for him. That said, it will be interesting to see if Gustafsson becomes a contender again. I think he needs to put on some more mass, DC and Anthony Johnson just overwhelmed him.

One of Lawler's old trainers said it was a bad fight to take as he gains nothing by beating Cerrone.

All honestly I see Lawler winning it, but not without a fight, and when Lawler turns it up... Makes me think Cerrone Vs. MacDonald would have been a good match up.

What's the mma betting scene like. I mean proper betting? I think we could clean up tbh given the lack of knowledge in the uk atm on favourites.

Paddy Power lists odds, best value for 214 is probably Maia at 8/5 or Brian Ortega at Evs.

Or DC at 15/8 if you think the champ retains.

It used to be wide open, like you say nobody knew fuck all about it. William Hill iirc was the only place id be able to bet locally on it. I never made big money on it but a guy at work has had a few big wins, he put £30 on Holly to KO Ronda at 20 - 1 for example. At the Couture vs Vera in Manchester me and a mate put £10 on the whole card (13 fight accumulator) and we missed out after Vera was robbed against Randy. Bloody gutted!

Look at the odds for Jones knockout.

14/1 for a round 1

17/1 round 2

20/1 round 3

30/1 round 4

40/1 round 5

They're fucking crazy. Round 4 or 5 knockout is completely forseeable. Submission finish is even better.

Cover your arse on decision finish at almost even odds.

Yeah, Jones by decision is surely the most likely outcome here? I reckon it's nailed on to go the distance, either way.

I've done all right on accumulators. The odds aren't what they were a couple of years ago but  you can still get some really good value if you're clever with your picks.

TKO is on there too.

Honestly, I expect Jones to get in there and just become a beast; he said he wants to finish him and no doubt in my mind that's what he's turning up to do. I think a fourth round TKO.

Sweet, just figured if there's a way to not pay out, a bookie will cover themselves. Fancy a stoppage in the 1st / 2nd.

Tonight's the night we have to worry about weight issues (and DC's magic towel); after the weigh-ins, we're almost there.
