Jon Jones is STILL talking like he's a victim it's crazy.

'You have things thrown at you in life it tests who you are'.

No. You took the drugs and were in a hit and run with a pregnant woman. The correct phrasing should be;

'I've made a lot of mistakes and poor decisions that have hurt people. I'm sorry for that. '

He really is a cunt.

Aye, I hate the whole "Gods testing me, I need to have faith to prevail" etc etc or words to that effect. No, you took drink/drugs and crashed into someone then ran off. Just admit it and say sorry and show remorse, its not that hard as

you say @Stevedave

That was abysmal. The production was a joke & Conor clearly had no clue what the format was so ended up ad-libbing a speech & then they cut his mic when Mayweather was droning on, removing the only chance we had to hear something remotely entertaining.

Hope the format is more along UFC press conference lines for the other ones because that did nothing to sell the fight at all & only confirmed the whole enterprise as faintly embarrassing.

How many years until Mayweather is bankrupt, scratching around for more of these circus events? Pulling a cheque out of a rucksack undermines his attempt at showing off a little... I mean, I could write a billion dollar cheque, wouldn't advise cashing it though.

EDIT: Conor's suit (spoilered for image size)

Agree with this. Awful from Showtime. I watched their live YouTube stream and the sound was abysmal.

These conferences are clearly being ran and dominated by Mayweather, and I think they'll try and use any trick/advantage they can, to try and unsettle Conor (like not telling him the format and throwing him and Dana up there to ad-lib). In that sense, I'm rooting for Conor to try and overcome all of this crap.

In his q&a conference afterwards, Floyd Snr.  was heckling him for about ten minutes straight, interrupting and shouting every time Conor tried to answer a question. He dealt with it very well, laughing it off, when it would have been easy to get annoyed.

Hoping the rest won't just be more of the same, but I won't get my hopes up. The London crowd should be crazy one-sided though, so that'll be fun to watch.

Going by the two events both Mayweather's come across as a bit dim at best. The heckling in the second one was borderline retarded.

Despite it all being a bit shambolic already there's no doubt McGregor can certainly hold a crowd. Feels like he'll have to pretty much sell the whole thing on his own.

Not the most exciting card on paper for UFC Glasgow but i think there could be some good fights. It's been over a year iirc since Calderwood lost to Andrade (or was her awesome beatdown of Letourneau her last fight? I cant mind which thats how long ago it was). I hope she wins anyway.

Stevie Ray against Paul Felder is getting talked about as a brawl in the making and FOTN potential which would be nice. Other Scotsman Paul Craig has nore potential than Ray imo especially as 205lb division is pretty think bar tje top 5 so he could make waves, Rountree is a tough test though.

I cant recall much about Ponzinibio so i'll just say Gunnar Nelson will knock him down and sub him, like Jouban.

How do we feel about Nunes pulling out?

If medically cleared, I think she should be stripped. You can't just pull out of a fight.

Well, for all we know there could be something going on in her family or something similar that would make her unfit to fight. I think she should get a pass, one time.

I dunno...Justins an All American wrestler and if he can take Johnsons shots i think he could take Eddies. Some of them anyway. Alvarez is probable harder to finish than most so who knows but id like to see that fight for sure.

Quite a big leap in competition, Alvarez is gonna be way more experienced. I reckon Alvarez hit harder, for sure. Interesting all the same.

Was thinking about Michael Johnson yesterday; interesting fight record, always good to see mid-tier guys that can hang on the roster.

He's a top 10 fighter on his day but he's lost 4 of last 5 i think. His KO of Poirier was his last win, Khabib, Diaz and Dariush beat him along with Gaethje obviously. Thats all solid fighters he's lost to and shows what a shark tank 155lb division is but a real title challenger would beat them bar Khabib.

[\harsh critic]

You could see Craig was going to get smashed as soon as he stopped moving and went flat footed, baited in.

Nice to see Marshman win but Jane just looked weird, he looked like a plank on a spring, just straight up and down with no movement anywhere along his body.

Yeah, wasnt expecting that in the main event. Felder nailed Ray a beauty.

Same old story of fighters (Ray, Craig, Nelson) getting built up then Pow! The train is derailed, maybe not forever but for a little bit at least.

Anybody else just see that KO at UFC Glasgow? Thrown face first into the canvas.

Octagon gets the KO bonus...

Fun card from Glasgow, some good finishes. Shame JoJo didn't pick up a win but interested to see how Calvillo gets on now, suspect she'll face someone like Herrig next.
