In terms of number of 155ers beaten, I definitely can't call Conor the baddest 155er around.

His tally is 1. Maybe 1 and a half if you count Diaz's usual weight.

It's a shame that neither fight will ever happen though. I'd love to see Conor/Ferguson after Khabib takes his throne.

People need to stop talking about fighting Conor. But they just can't.

A very valid viewpoint, Conors a master of maximum impact, but at the same time I think people sometimes forget he is pretty great. Him having pots of money to bring the best people in doesn't hurt either.  Don't sleep on Ferguson either, Johnson showed Khabib doesnt like being clipped, I think Tony might pull off a surprise here.

Guy with a reality show and a pop band breaks down sambo wrestling. Brill.

I'd rather watch Steven Seagal breakdown fights than this clown. At least Seagals lying would be entertaining;

"This is a move I taught Khabib many years ago during the first season of Lawman."

so I'm detecting that you lot really not liking the Robin Black stuff then - did see the UFC tweet out Dan Hardy's but it was just a snippet.

halfway thru Dominic Cruz on Rogan, he's not exactly a bunch of laughs and its a very conventional in depth interview so far, he talks with the earnestness and open nature of a alcoholic or drug addict working the steps, not a dull listen at all as he's very open and super articulate.

I really enjoyed the Cruz show, as you say he's not a brash personality like some fighters but he's clearly very inteligent and analytical. Pity it was just over 2 hours rather than 3 as id have liked to hear more about upcoming fights. Id love to see Cruz fight Mighty Mouse but Mouse would only want to fight the Champ at 135lb surely? (Which is fair)

Theres something desperate and annoying about Robin Black tbh. He does make decent points at times but he tries way too hard. He triggers Stevedave to the poinnt he might kill him if he ever gets Rogans job too. Dan Hardy's Breakdowns of the main are up now on the UFC channel.

Rogan's points on CM Punk with Cruz were brutal but true. He should have started with amateur BJJ or kickboxing fights. He thought because of his "straight edge" shit he could come in the UFC and win. He was just deluded though.

Ha! @angel had a similar premonition the other day. Was kind of trippy, Andrade knocked her out cold in the 3rd.

Hope it doesn't come true as a big fan of JJ. But also, think she would come back ferociously if and when she does lose her belt, which would be a sight to behold (hopefully they'll be a women's flyweight division by then too).

Watched Countdown, Tyron has his angst turned down and is a lot more likable that way. Likely a concerted effort by the UFC to paint him in a good light although it threatened to derail with the brokitchen moments with 'Super' Sage, a man who seemingly got his personality out of a cereal box.

Yeah I dont like andrade at all, I hope we're wrong.  Those 'super sage' northcutt moments were terrible, I like Twood (when he's not talking about superfights) but that was so forced. Especially when super sage was wowed by Twoods chicken recipe ("spices on BOTH sides!").

Nearly spat my drink out haha

I thought Cruz and Rogan was a great listen. The stuff Cruz said about accepting loss and learning from it was apt. The 'I was caught' type comments don't allow you to learn from the errors made.

Happy GSP is coming back. Underwhelmed by this fight though. Wanted Bisping/Romero which has a crazy build up already and would have been a better fight.

If GSP wins will he fight the Romero's and Rockhold's who are fucking huge middleweights ? Do we then get the GSP/Conor show instead ? I can see an interm Middleweight belt appearing at some point this year.

Bisping vs GSP is a huge fight though. Just hoped they wouldn't go this route as I think its going to get messy.

I'm surprised at GSP coming straight back into a 5 round title bout after such a long layoff - I'd have thought he'd want a tune up or something a bit less intense first time out.

Can see the appeal of Bisping to him, he's not a monster or devastating in any area like some of the others are, he's more an all rounder, but if GSP were to win what comes after ? I suspect his plan is already to move down to a Conor bout and relinquish MW

Conor weighed in at 168 against Diaz & still didn't have the same pop & bounce in his movement that he usually does, so there's no way he'd get anywhere close to 185. I'm sure they'd love to set up a superfight between the two at some point but it would be at 170 max.

No way Conor could fight MW, GSP will be loads bigger at 170lb anyway but i think thats a plausible fight in the future. Its almost like Conor and whomever he fights are in their own space and the rest of the divisions rotate around him in the meantime. The Bisping v GSP fight is pretty interesting, GSPs rust (which there will be no matter how much he stayed in shape) will play into Bispings hands, who is as good as he's ever been just now so id probably favour Bisping. It is for the belt yeah? Its surely annoyi g for Romero/Jacare (make them figjt eachother for interim belt or next title shot) but at least its an exciting prospect.

What a strange aftermath this could be. A Bisping win takes a fair bit of shine off GSPs otherwise perfect career. I've never thought of Bisping as a walkover (he's always had next level cardio) but the prospect of him ending his career with wins over Hendo, Anderson, and GSP is hilarious. They all would have (or did) beat him in their prime. It feels more like Bisping's there to gauge how far these hall of famer types have fallen, meanwhile the actual best fighters in the division sit there twiddling their thumbs.

Crazy matchmaking, but I'll be damn sure I'm watching it. Also anything that annoys Romero is ok by me.

Hopefully it will annoy him enough to prompt a move to LH, and that DC fight that would be like worlds colliding.

Romero Rumble / Jon Jones equally epic potential.

Belts rendered essentially meaningless this last 12 months. Nunes' was the last defence of any belt, or am I having a senior moment?
