It is on BE.

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2017/2/1/14480976/mma-news-misha-cirkunov-lorenz-larkin-rick-story-pulled-from-ufc-rankings

I did say this last year, I think the UFC is facing a downsizing this year, they simply arent replacing old stars with too many new ones. Fair play to that lot and Bader, go get paid. I'll happily watch them on Bellator seeing as the UFC is becoming a shell of its former self. I mean Conor is half gone, Ronda is fully gone, Numagomedov constantly wants out, Aldo wants to go and do boxing, the Diaz brothers wont accept fights, GSP cant agree on a contract, Cain and DC are always injured, Werdum won't accept any fights, Cyborg is waiting on Usada, Jones will pop for something again, Pettis is done, Cerrone is almost done, Goldies gone...I mean..theyre a mess.

This is a serious year of transition I think, real shake ups coming.

Bellator will be Strikeforce 2.0.

The reebok deal is for another 3 years. The majority of fighter contracts are up or close to being up. It's like watching the titanic before it hit the iceberg; there's no escaping a total disaster.

Sorry if this has been posted, Angela Hill channels Sagat during weigh in. Even does the laugh!

Take a look at @mikedyce's Tweet: https://twitter.com/mikedyce/status/827589418814947333?s=09

Who was it who did the fireball motion in a fight? It got him a ufc fight iirc.

Im supposed to be entering a grappling tournament next month and since ill probably lose my first fight ill need to create some hype by doing something similar

Just seen Rocksalt has gone on indefinite leave from mma to pursue a modelling career. wtf.

I'm tired and read this as Rosholt and was thinking wait...what. Jared's doing what now.

Shane Campbell was the Hadouken guy. Did it in WSOF a few years back.

I dunno why Spike/C5 have got so slow at showing Bamma fights. The programme tonight is the Dublin card from mid-December! It's bad enough having a week delay for Bellator (Saturday events anyway). Having said that I love that French guy (can't spell his name, Duquesnoy?) so I'll be watching, he'll be in the big leagues soon surely.

Decent Fight Night last night. Think Angela Hill also borrowed Sagat's chin, but Andrade is an interesting match-up for Jedrzeczyk, another potential barnburner. Expect neither will remain cut-free at the very least.

Zombie's layoff has been good for him. His TD defense has vastly improved and he's still got lots of power. Now, he just needs to learn how to move his head a bit more and improve his footwork.

Once he's into the top ten, he can't rely on his chin to be his primary defense and expect to be competitive.

Still, nothing like a definitive round one knockout to boost his confidence and shake off the ring rust. Clearly, he's spent considerable time in the gym during his service and it shows.

Nice performance.

Bit dissappointrd in OSPs performance. Henhasnt seemed the same since the Jones fight and i was bloody surprised when Manuwa KO'd. The Hill/Andrade fight was awesome and a nasty KO by Fortuna (i think) the way the other went down was strange looking. Great KO by Zombie i wasnt expecting that.

I was watching a youtube ufc 1 - 10 highlight and its cool seeing it evolve so quickly. It was way more violent looking even tho its probably worse now.

It would be interesting to watch an open weight grand prix with the fighters of today. I think the winner would be a light heavyweight. The heavies always struggle with someone quicker.

I think OSP was always a bit overrated so not too surprised by that. I can't work Andrade out, she's a little pit bull but I'm not sure how the title fight will go. Either its another 3-2 SD for JJ, or a complete beatdown win for JJ.  I don't know their reaches offhand, and she's looked good for 3 fights, but JJ is a whole other prospect. The template to beat her is there, Pennington and Reneau did it (admittedly with size on her). So yeah, unsure. JJ beat Gaudelha twice though and that seals it for me, if I had to put money on, it would be Joanna.

Andrade certainly has size/bulk on her side and probably edges the groundgame but JJ is still really solid on the ground and defensively she wasnt dominated by Gadelha (who is a bjj champ iirc but i could be wrong). Joanna could maybe pick Andrade apart as she advances. Its a fight id be looking forward to seeing.

JJ's ability to throw her nasty elbows will be key. If she can get up close and avoid takedowns as well as she did Vs Gadelha then Andrade will be cut to ribbons. JJ is one of the most exciting fighters on their roster, can't wait to see her back in the Octagon.

I'm unsure if OSP lost that he was smashing Volkan at the end but credit to the guy he took punches that would have dropped other fighters.

Interesting chap Volkan btw; he's the only prominent swiss mma fighter ever, covered in stretch marks (must have had serious weight issues at some point) and is apparently strong as hell. Really hope he does well in the UFC.

Calling it now, McCalls fight called off (most uses of the word call in a sentence). Silva Brunson is interesting and, blasphemy I know, I'd quite like to see Silva KO'd.  I thought he was a real prick during the whole Bisping thing, and continues to be one. His "bad" english is beyond a joke now too, we all know he's fluent, and for someone failing USADA with the worst defence of all time, he's not all that humble. Don't care one ounce about the main event, Holm has no ground game whatsoever and I don't know this other person. Poirier Miller has split decision written all over it. Teixera and Boetsch fights should be fun.

Silva hasn't won in 5 years. bit mad that. Him winning the belt again would be incredible. I still think he beat Bisping.

Look at his face after the 'win'.

According to the judges Bisping landed more significant strikes...

I like Holm, so hoping she wins on Saturday night. If Nunes defends against Shevchenko, fully expect her to be the next fighter to contest a different belt. Think she'd be an absolute powerhouse at 145.

Despite his status as one of the finest MMA fighters ever (if not the finest), never really warmed to Silva. Intriguing match up though, Brunson has speed and power, and everything to gain. How motivated Silva is probably decides the fight.

Also keen to see Teixeira and Jacare's fights. Will be in the UK so thinking about staying up for once.

I take your point but damage can look worse on a winner fairly often, and Bisping cuts easily and a lot. He did the same against Hendo, both were 3-2 to him in my book.

I like her too don't get me wrong, I just think shes very beatable. She should never have lost to Tate but she made all the wrong moves on the ground. I fancy Schevchenko to beat Nunes over 5 rounds. I must admit im not a huge Silva fan either, too much clowning against the likes of Maia at 112 and Thales Leites at 97, both of which had Dana White frothing at the mouth they were so bad.

I'd be happier to count his win against Diaz than that one.

In no way am I saying that Silva couldn't have beaten Bisping. Just that he dicked around so much that he never won that fight on points. Nope.

He's had lazy decision wins at the height of his not caring (Maia, Leites), but I don't think he has any desire to win a points fight. And that's Bisping's forte.

It's like he's scared to pull the trigger since the leg break. You look at his earlier fights and it was a round of feeling out then precision shots after that.

Is he still the GOAT though with all the controversy?
