I watched right to the end of the broadcast and Goldberg read out the end of show credits (exec producer that sort of thing) and got to make a comment about 'family being family for ever' and a vague sort of 'see you around' sign off.

It was very poor and a huge mistake in my view, in a still newish sport you retain your icons and the folks who built it up, not brush them aside - especially when he's done nothing wrong

Can't stand Anik, he's like a caricature of everything shit you'd put down in a crap waxwork US sports presenter.

Nunes is a bit of a classless oik. Rousey has clearly been held, mystified, by her trainer. No need to put the boot in IMO.

You could not have read this any more wrong, Nunes walked the week with dignity and cut a fine figure on the mic and presser afterwards. It was her coming out party, if you pardon the pun.

WME IMG decisions in 2016 will reverberate for a long time, IMO. Utterly clueless owners.

Nunes was right though. Stubbornness is what got Ronda into the star she has become, and this trait will the one that will prevent her from realizing she must make some drastic changes to what kind of people she keeps around.

I don't believe she's going to dump Edmond, after all they have been through. That means her future in UFC is all but sealed.

I think with her English being not so good it came out more bluntly than it was intended. She wasnt being malicious just honest whereas remember when Ronda didnt shake Tates hand after the fight thats what id call classless and i like Ronda. But thats just me. Incidentally Miesha looked gorgeous on the Fox show

She might have shared that (not made it), but she probably doesnt run her own twitter, and even then that stuff is all just promo crap that they all do. Her words in the cage and the presser are what matters, and she was excellent in both.

Do we know why yet? All ive seen so far is Danas scrum where he said he hoped to have his "plan in place" by July 2017 or so.   So he's hunting down another announcer? Anik was doing the Fox show as usual and was so ridiculously over-slick it was awful, I particularly hate his use of the phrase "MMA leader", as he said last night on Fox to Dana.."where next in 2017 for the MMA leader", absolutely terrible broadcasting.

Dana:

'We have a global level announcement to make'

*TUF Mexico*

"We've got something huge in the works'

*Reebok deal*

'We have a plan in place'

*Jon Anik*

Quote

Rousey is free to head off to her own private Idaho, or to far off Alaska, and stop thinking about the mixed martial arts, which took her to unprecedented heights, and left her dizzy with existential vertigo. How mental is the fight game? Rousey’s career is testament to just how mental. She validates the old cliché that it’s a mental game more than anything else. One loss was all it took. After becoming a global icon with eight-figure earning power, she sealed off her existence like an exclusive club of one after the Holly Holm loss, sequestering herself from the ominous thrum of outside noise. Travis Browne, her boyfriend, went clannish with her, like a heavyweight Yoko Ono. Edmond Tarverdyan, her coach out in Glendale, oozed from those shadows like a toxic gas.

Not really, thats just a daft video from a couple of Fox analysts. No belt, no point.

I want to see Bisping fight Jacare or Romero. Bisping's had his fun fight and there's a queue of killers now waiting for title shots.

I do like Bisping as champ as he's good at promoting but these guys need a shot. He can't have super fights with GSP / Woodley having not cleaned out the division at all. He didn't even beat Hendo convincingly or Anderson. Nevermind that, Woodley hasn't cleaned out his lol neither of them should even talked about cross division fights. It's the Conor effect making these guys think they're world beaters.

Jacare wouldn't be a promo king, but the man's amongst the most exciting savages to watch in the division.  If you like watching Bisping talk, we should get many more years of that once he moves full time behind the desk.

Bisping's not stupid, and there's a clear reason why he's looking everywhere except his own top 5 for opponents. They'll pick their teeth with his bones.

I think it's time to bring in the Conorweight belt, and let all the people who plug up divisions go for that instead.

Brilliant.

Woodley

Conor

Bisping

Hall of famers

Cain

Tito

BJ Penn

I think Romero with his bizarre broken english would be a great champ. He's a savage in the cage and Tony Montana outside of it. He even has some weirdo translator who looks like the bad guy in karate kid.

Garbrandt looking to join the Conorweight division because he feels he's 'one of the biggest draws'.

Dillashaw must be apoplectic. WME-IMG/Dana are going to have to do something about this emerging trend before it causes chaos, and nobody looks like a 'star' because everyone's doing the same thing.

There is an up side to all this stuff though: immediate title rematches seem to be off the table now. I don't mind the likes of Werdum, Aldo and Cruz having to beat top 5 opposition before they get another chance. No more BJ/Edgar/Maynard/Benson flashbacks.

this sort of thing proves that most of them still haven't caught up with what it is Conor does and how he does it - he didn't become what he is just by calling for a money fight, he did it by fighting anybody that was thrown his way and then when Diaz was chucked in as a late replacement at a catchweight he saved the card by agreeing the fight and selling the hell out of it and the rematch.

Garbrandt was super impressive in beating Cruz, and redeemed himself a lot (in my eyes) with the way he handled himself after the win - as a new and still inexperienced champ who is not well known he should now build his name defending his belt against the top contenders, that is how to cement your place as an elite champ and then start to make demands.

I think Dana will check this shit pretty quickly. T-wood is not a draw yet, Cody can be but not yet. And yeah, fuck instant rematches..Edgar Maynard was torture.  Cody does have some star power in him I feel but he needs good marketing, and hes not off to a good start.

Apparently Nick Diaz turned down a fight with Robbie Lawler at ufc209 which would have been ace. Diaz has sorted his beef with NSAC and wants a "title fight or  big big name". I dunno what planet he's on. i loved watching Nick fight as long as ive been watching MMA but why should he get ethier of his demands? Its been a couple of years since he fought iirc and hes got a load of baggage. Just fight ffs

Rogan also said on the podcast that Nick wants a title fight but Dana said he cant give him since he is winless since 2011

I don't even enjoy watching Diaz much anymore. There was some interesting trolling in the Silva fight, but in the main it's him being beaten and then complaining.

You don't really see the savage shots and jiu jitsu these days, just high volume boxing with suspect defense.

Nick said recently on a podcast he thinks the only fight he has ever lost was the TKO loss to Jeremy Jackson in 2002. As fucking mental as that is.
