Mr lay and pray more like.

A least he's legit. I think the more legit champs Bellator gets the better for MMA in general. Plus going forward it looks like they'll getting most of the talent anyway.

Bloody elbow had an article up on the UFC buy out deal.

http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2016/10/29/13461764/ufc-ultimate-financial-cost-cutting-wme-img-buyout-sale-firing-ultimate-fighter-expenses-mma-news

If that's true we are in for some pretty dark years. No backstage bonuses, no sponsorship deals, sacked half the staff backstage, cut the budget for production, the obvious lack of improved deals for the fighters.

How are people even allowed to buy other companies this way?

'I'm going to take a loan out, buy something, and asset strip until the product is ruined to pay said loan back while pocketing some cash'.

Philip Green anyone? Cunts like this belong in prison.

Event tonight, RDA vs Ferguson, tough test for RDA...could be a corker.   Lamas vs Olivera who missed weight by 9 pounds.  Not a stay-up event really, probably watch tomorrow.

Then begins the crazy week of build up for 205...no one get injured please.

I'm hoping that the MMA gods' thirst has been sated by Rockhold pullling out against Jacare, giving us a clean bill of fighters for 205. Fingers crossed.

RDA v Ferguson has the potential to be a real barnburner. Hoping El Cucuy gets his stupid mouth firmly shut. Such a bellend that guy.

Tony Ferguson looks like something out of Jackson's man, his arsenal reminds me off Carlos Condit - such a crazy variety of strikes, with a sick submission game; only thing I can see is that he puts himself at risk and get caught a bit, semi-brawling. Just in the second round of him Vs. Dos Anjos and it's mad. Love to see him against Conor.

RDA still throwing that back leg kick to the body though, just chopping away - brutal!

Yeah, RDA is done now he can't take those special mexican supplements, can see him hanging round as a gatekeeper for a while but doesn't look elite championship level in last 2

very impressed with the variety of attacks Ferguson has in his arsenal, very Jon Jones like, don't like how he sits back and takes damage though, wondered if he was trying to see 5 rounds thru at altitude last night

His last fight was against a guy making his debut and he almost got KOd several times. He's entertaining but this style of fighting would be punished against Khabib or Alvarez.

Khabibs wrestling is turning him into one of those mythical mma guys who other fighters fear; e.g. prime Wand during his Pride run, Anderson Silva when nobody would dare stand with him. If he gets the belt and somehow keeps this up (23-0) he might be nearing Fedor levels of greatness.

It's a shame we haven't seen much of Khabib actually. Hopefully him vs Ferguson for the interim light weight belt if Conor puts alverez away.

RDS won the first round and that eye poke in the second i thnk it was, really put him off, he just didn't look the same. He's not one to make excuses but when he said at the that he was seeing double i genuinely believe him.

RDS wins that fight 4 times out of 5 in my mind.

What's the thinking for Saturday? Got a feeling Alvarez will put away McGregor inside 2, but it will be blood and thunder from both before that. Hoping for a Wonderboy clinic, and while I like KK, JJ will just have too much nastiness going on and get the TKO. Looking elsewhere hoping Cowboy keeps his run going, Cupcake grounds out a win and Frankie Edgar lights up the undercard.

Card is ridiculous, easy to forget some of the stellar names that will also be entering the Octagon that night.

Not sure about RDA beating Ferguson 4 times out of 5 - it seemed like one of those changing of the guard fights we've seen a few of recently, not in age terms when the older fighters go past their best, just in terms of these younger guys coming through who have always trained MMA, and aren't 'just' good wrestlers with striking bolted on.

I thought he looked perplexed and didn't really know what to do so resorted to being very game and trying to walk it down.

I'm not calling anything for 205 until they've all weighed in and turned up, still plenty of time for pull outs and 'tainted supplements' to change the card

Haha, this is true. I'm trying to stay optimistic, thinking (hoping) the scale of the event will limit the drop-outs.

I'm starting to wonder if there's another dimension to Khabib getting overlooked time and time again.

He's a proud Dagestani, and has spoken up for insane Chechen leader Kadyrov. Do you think it's possible that having a champion who is so misaligned with the US audience's politics could be seen as a liability?

I dunno. I don't think he's been overlooked that much, he's fought so infrequently over the last few years that the windows he's been available for a title shot have been few and far between. Obviously there is 205, but unfortunately Conor transcends rankings and Ferguson has just as good a case for a shot as Khabib does.

I reckon they'll do a #1 contender fight assuming Khabib gets through Johnson (especially if Conor wins, as they'll probably give the title shot to Nate in the meantime).

tec that takedown was beautiful! Ace work man, huge congrats.

Definitely thought the same of RDA during the fight what with the USADA stuff; after his output in the Pettis fight Vs. the recent performances, gotta think he was using EPO for sure.

Is there an RLLMUK league? I can't see it on loading.

Khabib's record is undeniable but I'm sick of hearing Rogan go on about him; he just beat a full-time mechanic. See how he does against Johnson.

ANYWAY, here's how I think things should go after 205 assuming Conor wings it:

Conor defends his 145 belt then fights Ferguson for the belt. Means Ferguson gets a 6 month lay off (potentially) but McGregor's got some fucking stupid announcement after 205 right? What is that crap about? Some bullshit training product he's releasing or something?

His training program launches today (7th) so it isn't that. Probably a nothing announcement to drum up a few more PPV buys. Or that he's having an op and fighting Cyborg. Or going to Mars in a hot air balloon filled with his own hype. Or he fancies a Twix.

Me too. It's a year from when he was caught so he'll be back around august 2017. So that's Anderson Silva and Jon Jones a peg down on the GOAT list.

Fedor always has the last laugh.

I was anticipating a 6 monther too, but it seems he was slightly flippant ("dick pill", he said), and seriously...what athlete takes unmarked sex supplements a month before a multi million dollar fight.  He deserves the bad on stupidity alone.

I'm surprised you missed Chael predicting he'd run that exact defence. The day the news broke Chael did an interview where he said Jones' team would be busy compiling a list of stuff containing the substance in question, before saying he'll claim he was taking dick pills.

I thought USADA were pretty serious though and wouldnt accept him knocking up some sex pill supplement thing, I imagine they'd need receipts and whatnot, find out if it was true or an after the event defence.

So do we (here) think he was basically roiding, or just reckless?
