I kind of want Jones to be cleared, just so he can be beaten in the Octagon, not because he ended up having 2 years away from the sport and came back rusty.

Watching Bad Blood and back up to full hype for McGregor Diaz; changing my prediction to Diaz via submission in the 3rd.

They were estrogen blockers not steroids, sure some steroid users take them to kickstart testosterone but they can't cheat the system by running out and buying some supplements with them in. Tainted supplements might sound a cop out, but it is totally common, the market is unregulated, cross contamination is real. Like I say..you can't fool USADA, Novitsky and so on by just popping down to Superdrug and claiming tainted. He'll have to fully declare everything used and they'll go through it.

It basically IS his fault, but more in that he was cheap with his supplements, didn't inform USADA fully, didn't pay for any testing and he ingested them himself. If this comes to pass we're looking at 6 months from time of pop, and ready to fight by end of the year.

If you're on 10 million a fight then you should be aware what you're putting in your body, it's not that hard. That's why when Jon said ' I've not changed what I take supplement wise' he got dropped by his protein sponsor and hurriedly said ' actually I've been taking new stuff'. O'rly.

Romero is a guy who clearly has been on HGH, roids, TRT, the lot. He has traps the size of most guys legs. If you believe he didn't just use the 'tainted supplement' excuse I don't know what to say. His entire camp have been caught at this point.

The tainted supplement is literally the oldest trick in the doping book. I remember reading an article by an ex-doper in one of the Sunday supplements back when we used to read things on paper and he basically outlined the roper's defence strategies. It basically amounted to what Armstrong did which is stuff like ad-hominem takedowns of accusers and muddying the waters as far as possible by claiming to have accidentally taken a spiked/contaminated supplement so that you create enough doubt in enough people's minds that you can get away with it. I think a huge proportion of sportsmen and women are doping in one way or another and the UFC is no different.

As for Conor and Nate I really think Nate has got into Conor's head now. I will be amazed if Conor wins.

Conor's best moments last fight were actually in the fist 2 minutes of the SECOND round. The first round we saw Conor miss A LOT. Not really as dominant as people seem to remember.

By the 2nd round he was properly measuring Diaz with that left. If Conor can start the first round like he did the 2nd in this fight, he has a better shot at winning. Otherwise, I think it'll be the same all over again.

Since renewing my sub it's eye opening to see who will embarrass themselves by negging EVERYTHING I post, someone who I don't even engage with. I mean seriously, I don't talk to this person and yet he does this with an innocuous prediction post. Schmojo, we disagree, this is known, try to let it go as this is just petty on your part.

Apologies, here's a lengthier explanation:

You imply that the man who had a full camp for their first fight will win 'easily' against a guy who is not only a cardio legend, but now also has a full camp to improve said amazing cardio. Classic.

A quick neg of disagreement was easier than that.

In the future, just assume it's shorthand for "Hooray! More Angel-flavoured drivel!".

I don't expect Conor to be a completely different fighter this time around but I am really interested to see what changes he has made as a result of this camp. He's working with Dillon Danis (Marcelo Garcia blackbelt) and Conor Wallace (tall southpaw boxer) - I think this is the first time he's brought people from outside SBG into a training camp. Problem is - I can't see McGregor fighting the smart fight and aiming to win a decision. I wonder what's the backup plan if he can't get a KO?

It also depends on what version of Nate Diaz shows up tonight. There was no pressure on him in the last fight and he has a habit of doing the whole disinterested thing from time to time. I almost expect him to act the idiot in this one, lose a decision and then complain about the judging. If he shows up and is on form, it's his fight to lose really.

Heart - Conor TKO in the 2nd

Head - Diaz sub in the 3rd

This is how I'm leaning too. I'm rooting for Conor & would love to see him pull off something spectacular, showing that his obsessive approach to avenging the loss has driven him to hone his gameplan & show what he's really capable of. But I don't see it happening.

No matter how controlled he is at the start, if it heads into the later rounds I see his ego kicking in & him succumbing to the lure of chasing the big KO once again & it ending in similar fashion to the first fight. His entire modus operandi is about getting that early KO & if it doesn't happen I don't see what his plan B is. Nate is just a bad match-up for him.

As entertaining as it's been, his hyped-up anger displayed in the last few days has me worried & I don't see the required calm, calculated approach from him being put into practice over 5 rounds. It's gonna be a great fight whatever happens though & I've got butterflies already.

Oh, so it was genuinely for the sentiment. Well I would prefer if you could be civil, and I will reciprocate, and discussion will come. What spoils it is you saying stuff like "classic" and "drivel", it's very condescending and just creates bad vibes. I have opinions, so do you, and I've tried very hard with you. I would really prefer if we both reset things and spoke in a normal manner to one another.

I do think Conor has poured so much investment into this, he knows what he stands to lose, so he's going to come in with deep cardio..he'll be properly at the weight rather than just eating steak for 10 days before like last time (see his embedded stuff, lots of tucking in at restaurants). I don't think it's an easy task to beat Nate, I have a feeling though that if his cardio holds up, he will make this one look relatively easy with a rd 2 TKO.

Noticed that too. Nate won a marathon a few weeks/month ago so it's not like he's carrying around bulk wrestler weight either. That's why I'm thinking Conor will have to knock him out as he's put on a fair bit of muscle and when he's tired in 2 he's not going to be able to flush all that lactic acid out his system.

He won a marathon? That's seriously impressive.

People don't take them seriously because of how the Diaz's act, but both of them are serious athletes.

Nate's a registered USA Triathlete and has been racing olympic distance and XTERRA off-road triathlons since 2009 and regularly finishes top of his age group (AG). The fact that Nate has ended up on the podium on almost half his races is pretty impressive given he's also got a full time job as a professional fighter.

I'm using setanta go. I think you can subscribe to the online version for €17. Or if you know someone who already subscribes to BT Sports via Sky, you can use their viewing card number to get access (which is what I'm doing). Sorry, I've no clue about other streams.

The lack of access to live events on fight pass is a joke now. No point in keeping the subscription up.
