LMAO that was amazing. Rockhold fought like he thinks he is some untouchable golden god of fighting then gets his head taken of his shoulders by two brutal left hooks by Bisping. Plus Hendo in a fight I thought he would get wasted in wins by murder. What a great card and fucking Brock Lesner is coming back!!!

great card, enjoyed every fight on the main event

that will be  a perfect way for Hendo to bow out but suspect he won't be able to resist coming back again

Rockhold fought like a total dick, you could see he was toying with Bisping and thought he could finish the fight whenever he wanted, only thing better than seeing him KO'd was the face on Cormier in the corner (who hopefully has the same coming in a month). Don't expect a long reign but hard to begrudge Bisping his moment with the belt (he's now tied most all time UFC wins with GSP)

Also great to see Faber almost get frustrated into retirement

Brilliant card and every fight went the way I'd have liked it to

Bisping winning is amazing, loved it. Anyone seen the press conference with Rockhold being a massive prick. So glad he got knocked out.

I'm sure his first title defence will be their rubber match and Rockhold will take it more serious but as for last night, what an amazing moment.

WWE have issued a statement saying that they have a contract with Lesnar and have given him one off permission to fight at UFC 200 - I love him being back as rarely feel the level of excitement I used to get before his fights, but its just a cheap ploy to bump PPV sales for 200 and declare it the biggest event of all time.

That said that card is looking good.

Will he have been training for months for this fight, but it was revealed yesterday? Assuming it came together after McGregor fiasco. Seems a bit short notice for the opponent too, although as it's such big money lots will be angling for it.

I thought Michael Bisping might win y'know, because he's a hard cunt. After the Silva thing. This is huge for MMA, it's fucking awesome. I don't think we've ever seen a champion so deserving, through being so tough, and committed to the sport. putting 10 years in, well done Michael Bisping. That is fucking amazing to wake up to.

Made it all the way up to the main event before falling asleep. Great card, Holloway vs Llamas was great, did anyone see Alex Caceres on the undercard? He looked amazing. Faber vs Cruz... Cruz looks good but his output is so little. it's boring. What else? Who cares, just a mad card.

He really asked for it (and thats coming from a fan of him). Developed a gameplan, trained with coaches from well known gyms (Henry Hooft), after looking like a monster against Weidman... all of that, for coming into the fight with your hands dropped? The last time he did that was against Belfort. I really hope he learned a lesson right there, don't fight with your ego.

WTF UFC, why spoil a great night with this shit:

Holy shit that was a great card, and the Lesnar reveal at the end of the 200 promo? Huge pop. Guess with everything tending to leak ahead of time it was genuinely great to have a WTF?! surprise as it is intended.

Haven't minded Rockhold previously but he deserved those left hooks. As JJ Watt in a different sport said, "Heard someone say, "I can't wait until I can finally say I've made it." The day you think you've 'made it' is the day you begin your decline." Regardless of Bisping rep, he's slogged his way to a title shot and took his chance with aplomb. Rockhold took his belt for granted and in the short duration of the fight fought like he just had to turn up to retain. Get in Bisping, testament to never giving up.

Cruz danced Faber into a UD, Hendo with one of the most brutal knock-outs I've seen in ages, loads of good stuff on the prelims, really liked the look of Jessica Andrade at 115... man, that was some strong stuff.

I love how Cruz just mindfucks his opponents with his stances, it's one of the reasons why nobody can read his style. every time a boxer shifts from orthodox to southpaw, it changes the range of his strikes; the jab is different, the strait power hand is different, the hooks and overhands and uppercuts are all different; they have different range, and come from slightly different angles, and give opponents radically different looks. He constantly alternates between stances, and breaks his stance way more often than most fighters eg) when he stands up strait and walks people down. By constantly shifting his stance, opponents have no idea where the strikes are coming from, which makes his feints extremely effective.

I feared for Lombard as he took multiple clean shots from somebody noted for power.

Really hard to begrudge Bisping his moment, he's been there or there abouts for years, often coming up just short against TRT fuelled opponents - suspect the UFC will go straight for the trilogy with Rockhold as its a hot fight to make and is a genuine grudge, also no guarantee of Bisping getting past Jacare or Weidman before a rematch happens.

That Helwani thing is weird, but the UFC seem to have had a bit of a vendetta against him for a while.

Leaked news i.e headliners before UFC could, UFC got pissed.

Which is understandable but a really shitty thing for them to do. A ban for life is ott.

Is it really?, he's a reporter, it his job to like report stuff. First it cost him his job at Fox and not he's banned for life.

People say Ariel Helwani is so passionate about the sport. I don't think so, I think he's just a guy who wants to work in broadcasting and just used MMA to get a career. People are saying he leaked the info because he's passionate, I disagree, I think he's just done it to break the news for his own ends.

That knockout from Hendo; I thought Hector Lombard was dead.

Was a sickening KO. Had a horrible feeling seeing him so motionless as UFC knock-outs generally tend to be flash ones. Assuming he would have gone straight for an MRI even after being cleared in the Octagon, hopefully there's nothing long-lasting.

Nope, Ariel Helwani is a MMA reporter, and the best one by a huge distance. He's been reporting on the sport for years, even before there was any money to be made doing so. He's genuinely help build up the sport.

Anyway, in March, he was sacked from UFC Tonight by Fox for speaking up on the issue of fighter pay in the UFC. Not a popular move.

Since then, he's been consistently reporting and breaking the UFC's biggest news stories hours before the UFC has the chance to announce them. He did this several times last night, including the Brock Lesnar return & McGregor/Diaz rematch. He's not employed by the UFC, so he's not doing anything wrong.

He obviously through the years made hundreds of contacts who give him great information and he just reports it. UFC have had enough and decided instead of fixing their own leaks, they'll ban the best journalist & his colleagues from ever doing another UFC event. Kicking him out midway through arguably the best event they've ever done. So shifting the focus on to the idiotic decisions of the heads of company & not the amazing event they put on.

Holy shit. What a card.

Incredibly happy for Bisping. Rockhold was clearly toying with him, but the stars aligned in a perfect way to make the unlikely fairytale happen. Seeing Rockhold chew on the fact that he only managed to be a transitional champ (so far), is even better.

Holloway's fantastic, and their throw down at the end was hilarious. Someone needs a gif of that.

Good win for Hendo in a very violent fight. I wonder what happens with Lombard from here - he was the better fighter for most of the fight, but fell victim to serious power. Like most of Hendo's recent wins.

Cruz did some very good Cruzing. Can't complain at all - he's very good.

I know how long he's been doing it.

Apologies, I wasn't meant to be patronising. Its just that he's been doing this for long that I just don't think it makes sense what you said.

What's the deal with the Ariel stuff?

Dana throwing his toys out the pram again. He did the same with Sherdog years ago banning them because they refused to stop covering Pride and Strikeforce - ...and yes, he really tried to boss a news site into stop covering other mma events.

Over the moon for Bisping. He fought all the sted heads when they were juiced to the gills so it feels like karma that he finally got gold.

Also really enjoyed that Hendo KO of Lombard. Nice to see that juiced up gym bully on the receiving end of a hendo bomb.
