What? Are you snarking?

Its a stupid fight, he's too small and lacks his usual reach advantage.

Of course considering a rematch is stupid and even harder to justify.

However, if this is true and indeed his next fight is a rematch then he has to vacate his belt. Probably we see Aldo vs Edgar 2 instead. However, I do want Connor to defend his belt.

Surely an Aldo rematch for 200 is the right fight to make. Much as I was shocked at the time it felt like Conor getting his wings clipped a little was a good thing in the long run. Go back down to 145, defend the belt & then move up to 155 when the chance is there. The Diaz fight was a big-headed gamble that didn't pay off & I don't think avenging the defeat at what I assume would be 155 would prove much or be as big an event as a title-fight.

I think maybe the issue is dropping down to 145.

Talking about WW again apparently. (Although nothing confirmed as yet.)

Thinking about it, surely from Nate's position he would prefer a LW fight too? Considering he's been moaning about people making excuses for Conor's loss.

Either way, I'm just pretty disappointed that this is the proposed headliner to an event they've been building up forever. Instead we have this, Cain vs Browne and Mousasi vs Brunson. Not exactly a card for the ages.

Hunt looks pretty good to me, nothing out of the ordinarily. He's been losing weight for over a year now. As for Mir, he was 260, maybe to deal with Hunt's strength however, he probably misses those TRT jabs.

Diaz MacGregor 2 is madness, but they may be onto something.

If Conor never defends the FW belt and vacates, and never gives Edgar a well-deserved shot/Aldo a well-deserved rematch, he gets to be a massive troll.

It also helps him avoid some very risky fights, and maintains his aura despite potential losses, as he can claim that he was still undefeated at FW, regardless of what happens at 155 or 170.

He also puts himself into a very small class of fighters who essentially declare themselves to be bigger than a title.

Fairly stacked? Hugely stacked I'd say. Would like to see Namajunas smash Torres, Nurmy flatten Ferguson who I find quite annoying. Hendo might get it done over Machida who's not looked the same lately (ped related, who knows). Chiesa and Swanson are always value, Dodson should walk through Gamburyan, should be fun to see Correia lose again (I find her very hard to even look at, that nose and man face due to years of HGH and whatnot), and Court Mcgee is a tough SOB too.

Waiting up for Hunt. War Hunt!

I watched the co-main and main, and thought they both had some great talking points in them.

I really don't know what to think about the Magny/Lombard fight. I thought that it should've been stopped in the first. Then it *definitely* should've been stopped in the second.

Who do you feel for there? Magny's obviously a beast, but a lot of other refs wouldn't have had him surviving Lombard's early storm.

The main went as expected. Though the stop may have been a touch premature, had Hunt not opted for his trademark walk-off, he'd have probably turned Mir to mush.

Bisping's apparently calling for the next title shot. If Weidman beats Rockhold somehow, I say you give it to him. He may not be as worthy as Jacare, but he's done a lot for the company, and he's been after it for so long that he can retire pretty happy if he gets it.

Chaps. Is the Brisbane card worth watching? Any stand out fights?

I ask because I have an absolute chore ahead of me to watch it and want to know if it is worth the hassle.

Yes the main card was awesome. Was one of the best cards I've seen this year.

If anyone has Fight Pass atm the latest Pancrase 277 was really good as well.

Jones needs to fully embrace this genuine arseholeness that he possesses and go full on heel, trying to play a nice god fearing all american boy isn't going to wash - he should go fully villain style and just be himself all the time, it would be box office gold for him.

Did it get mentioned that Cyborg is fighting Leslie Smith at a 140lb catchweight in Brazil?

It's a big step. UFC would be wise to build Cyborg up heavily. It's a gamble that she'd be able to make 135lb for a title shot, but the women's division looks a lot more legit when they're bringing in veteran heavy hitters, and it's not just the Rousey/Holm/Tate show.

Gotta love Chuck.

Chuck seemed a lot less punchy in that interview than others I've heard, see in the comments people saying the same.

Rogan must have been sending him buckets of Alpha Brain (that stuff is amazing by the way).
