I still want to see them fight again eventually, hope he doesn't got the way of Barao who hasn't looked the same since his defeat.

I'm honestly shocked still,the power of his left arm is something to behold. I'm shocked too that Also didn't circle and instead cut straight knowing this. Conor was right when he said it was fundamentals. Goto give him props his confidence and mindset is bulletproof.

I agree but at the same time I don't have high hopes of him keeping to that weight class since he wanted to moved up. I'm sure Dana would throw enough money to change his mind.

Anyway off to bed now, it's been a long day.

Still bloody unbelievable, I'm still shocked by the finish.

Fucking hell. Just home and i'm still in shock. Delighted for the emphatic win, but feel bad for Aldo going out like that. He's a legend. Bad night for SBG apart from that though. Artem seemed to freeze a bit and Nelson was taken to school. I'm sure they'll give Artem a go again after the performances in TUF, but he'll have to do well. Fingers crossed for him.

fuck me that was like something out of Snatch with Gorgeous George. I said before that Aldo looked totally rattled by the 6month build up to this fight and I thought he looked doomed before the first bell as he stood there with his head down.

thought Romero was lucky to get the decision and yet again gassed badly - he's the best middleweight in the world I reckon but can only do it for a minute or two.

Weidman Rockhold was a great attritional fight, doubt we'll ever see Weidman go for that spinning kick again.

Great event - Maia put on an absolute clinic. A total joy to watch, but Nelson needs better style matches - I never had him doing anything against Demian.

Crappy decision in the Jacare fight. They'll want to keep his momentum though and make him a contender. They won't be too thrilled about Rd 2+ Romero fighting for the belt. Good performance by Jacare, despite eating a shot that would've finished a lesser man.

Herb Dean continues to lose his reputation as a competent ref by letting Weidman eat dozens of unanswered shots. Rockhold looked great though - I wonder if they'd ever do a Belfort rematch?

MacGregor's accuracy and timing is insane. Best outcome possible for Dana. Edgar definitely deserves it next. Frankie can't handle that kind of power (who can?), but he beats Conor in a lot of areas.

It's great to see things shaken up - lots of exciting new fights.

apart from JJ who screwed things up himself, anybody thinking the changing of the guard with most of the main champions at the same time the far stricter PED testing & IV ban came in probably isn't a coincidence ?

Best card in ages. As much as I'd love for Conor to defend the belt there's rumours something happened post weigh -ins which is why the UFC are pushing for him to not fight at 145lbs again. Love to know how much he weighed in the cage.

Weidman looked so one dimensional. Credit where credit is due Rockhold looked ace.

'Movement coach' is the new karate it seems. :)

Oh man still feel bad for Aldo, yes it was a legit KO but it wasn't the fight we were all expecting. After all the hype I was hoping for a war, to see a technical striking clinic from each other. Instead we see Conor defeating Aldo in the best embarrassing way:(

Brazillians do make excuses, however, I would be itching to see them fight again soon.

Plus next week, oh boy that fight card is sick too.

Connor didn't just predict the round this time, he told a journo last week that Aldo over extends on his right hand and he'd dodge it, create 'negative space' (whatever that is) and take him out with the left

Yeah I was about to piss on Ido Portal - however, maybe he's on to something.

Connor always looked fucked at weigh ins. I'm guessing this one was harder than normal and his team said enough is enough at this weight. Espec after the One FC guy died cutting weight.

Amazing win for him. He seemed in shock at the time as it was so easy. Aldo lost points moaning post fight. Feel bad for him though after all of Connors trash talk, then he gets KO'd in 13 secs.

Cmon, like I said this was a year in trash talk and preparation, to go out and as the best featherweight in history in under 13 seconds and worst by the "joker" is brutal. If it had a been a war I think the mindset would be different. However, he was confused, and angry so let him have his rant, its understandable I reckon in this case.

Yes it was understandable and OK. I said I felt bad for him too.

It wasn't very classy though. He basically gave Connor no credit and said it was a fluke.

Its a bitter, bitter pillow to swallow.

After all the trash and the shortness of the fight, I can understand why he would say something like that. However, like Aldo I deeply underestimated the power of his left hand, you hear it on occasions like Big Rig's right but I didn't believe it to be that damn powerful.
