What about the old boy who did the weight checks and business backstage leaving? That was a shame as well.

The balls to say something like that to a fighter Scott, haha.

Joe Rogan's never held his tongue for the UFC on the podcast - you end up thinking hang on a minute, but I think Joe is such a huge part of the UFC. Just his jujitsu knowledge alone is fantastic when watching the fights. Always hear him chiming in with "now what so and so wants to do is move his leg...". And his colour commentary is fantastic. Dillashaws knockdown on Barao is so amplified by his big "ooooh". He can be a quite unlikable at times on his podcast but you gotta love the guy. the sheer fan in him alone makes him a huge asset to the organisation.

You like that?

He sounds like a 15 year old troll on twitter. He is supposed to be the voice of a billion dollar company and the face of the sport. "You only have 9 followers on twitter, who cares lol". Its fucking embarrassing.

I love Dana White when he's answering actual questions directly and defending his corner, that stuff is great - that twitter Q&A though is just playground 'your mum' stuff and serves no purpose whatsoever - other than making him look like a twat.

Looking forward to TJ v Barao tonight, first fight was so comprehensive that I just can't see a different outcome, Barao was 2nd best at everything by a distance last time out

Dana is funny but he's also a massive twat.

I've always liked him for trying to get Fedor to sign, etc... but over the last 5 years he's crawled up his own ass. He's clearly wrong over the reebok deal and the way mma is heading, but he's too far gone to admit it.

Dana's taken the sport this far, but he's an embarrassment in general.

Any discussion of improving 'professionalism' in the sport via drug testing, Reebok uniforms, Fox coverage or anything else is rendered moot by his position at the top of the company, and his inability to present a professional image.

If you like him, you're have very questionable taste. He's a piece of shit who cares nought for the backs that have been broken to provide him with expensive suits and a tan like a boiled bollock.

I just watch fights bruh, if it was so hard on the fighters they could go to another organisation. Being a fighter is a tough business whether you're in UFC or Bellator - there can only be a few at the top making the decent money unless you're a vet doing well like Frank Mir. In the end the team and fighters become their own brands and can still retain their sponsors. The Reebok deal does suck if you're going in their with a load of shit plastered all over your shorts but I'm not about to stop watching fights because of it.

Man, poor Barao he got dominated all over the show. Reminded me of when they rushed franklin back into the Anderson Silva rematch and he got destroyed. Assume Barao will move up in weight now?

Dana made some twatish comments post fight regarding the whole stich situation. I just want him to go away now. His brash nature was great at the start but he's alienated half the mma community with his pettiness. He'd still be an aerobics instructor if it wasn't for the fact he's mates with the ferttitas. He needs reminding that.

Not a surprise that TK battered Barao, if anything this was even more comprehensive than the first time as Barao claimed he never recovered from a huge 1st round shot last time out - this time he just got picked apart and looked flat footed and slow against a far better opponent.

Barao has to move up now, I'm sure the UFC will try to push Uriah Faber again as they seem desperate for him to be a champion and will have a teammates angle to push with the fight - I never understand Faber's popularity, I can't stand him he's such a cocky little shit without the talent to back it up

Onto Rousey playing the arch heel in Brasil next, can't say I know much of her opponent but am finding Rogan calling her Betch Correira amusing (it may be a good pronunciation, still sounds odd hearing him say it, like all the Gracies being Hoger, Henzo etc)

Watching now. There's a point at 1:30-1:20 on the countdown timer in the first round where TJ is smiling, getting into it a look on Barao's face that just makes you feel bad for the guy.

Don't see how you can't rate Faber! Amazing fighter - even if he never nailed those title shots, he sets the bar high for being a contender - see him as a super talented dude!

Its more Faber's personality that grates on me, he seems a top level fighter but one I suspect is destined to be a permanent challenger and gatekeeper, rather than a champ with a string of defences in the books.

If anything I recall the first round being Barao's best by far, then TJ got that movement going again and was hitting him at will, especially with that stinging straight jab

I don't think that Faber's ability can be called into question - he's been a perennial #2 in multiple divisions, and a WEC champ. The only man to beat Cruz, arguably the best bantwamweight ever. He's legit, but I also don't understand his popularity. His persona seems to be 'California douchebag', and everyone laps it up. Add in cornrows and I'll pay to watch him lose, which he doesn't often.

He was the first guy to prove that sub-155lbers could draw, and he'll always be important for that.

Couldn't believe how bad Dillashaw made Barao look. Did a single loss break Barao? Maybe. Barao didn't even look top 10, and certainly not the killer of old. It makes it seem like the Cruz/Barao match mooted a few years back wouldn't be that competitive.

Now, Dillashaw vs the Cruz who came back as a killer last year (Before injuring himself...again)? That's a fight.

I can see the appeal with Faber - dude is always super positive. He's got a great attitude.

Don't think Barao's broken, just leagues below TJ in terms of movement. What did Rogan say, "This is the future of MMA", you see it in McGregor. If you watch that Lawlor MacDonald fight again, the early stages were so damned boring because they were just standing in front of each other waiting to move their pawns.

enjoying (as always) the embedded vids going up for this weekends PPV - Rousey comes across very well in them, she has that eerie Fedor calm about her.

Never seen 'Betch' fight but can't help thinking that Rousey is going to shred her very fast.

I don't think Bethe is anywhere near ready for a title shot against Rousey. She's going to get destroyed. Unfortunately there aren't really any other women in a position to challenge for the belt other than Miesha Tate at the moment or Cyborg if she ever manages to make the weight cut.

Women's MMA is still so young. Assuming she stays in the sport long enough, there will be a generation that comes along and sweeps Ronda, and her judo, away. It's crazy to see how a martial art can be so successful in WMMA when it's been nullified in the men's game.

That being said, I'm as excited to see Rousey fight as any of the best men these days, and that's an incredible achievement in such a short space of time.

the Nogs looked pretty fucked up in the embedded vids - one was pretty slurry and both seemed incredibly stiff and hardly able to walk. I've noticed that quite a bit in embedded videos, a lot of fighters seem to be injured and not moving freely in the build up to fights, Rua looked pretty laboured too.

Does anybody do a more intense stare down face at a weigh in than Ronda ?

She really is unstoppable isn't she. I mean there isn't much competition for her but she's just making it look easy.

Correia really shouldn't have made the suicide joke, it just made Ronda angrier and it showed. 34 seconds of all Rousey.
