I'd watch Fedor vs Kimbo, Ken Shamrock, Tito Ortiz, Herschall Walker etc in Bellator, they would put some good fights underneath too. Just hope this is not some M1 Russia thing though.

I hope that I never see any one of those. He can only tarnish his reputation with a Bellator HW. Brett Rogers was close enough.

Anyone else think that Sinead was unlistenably awful at UFC last weekend?

Yeah she didn't sound great but the whole thing was epic. Connor has the best walkout in mma should have just stuck with the sinead/biggie remix. What makes Connor more likeable for me is John Kavanagh you can tell he cares about his guys, well jealous of kingpin being coached by him. I'll be over next year for a few days though :)

Just looking at belt passing history.

Look at Jon Jones reign:

1. def. Quinton Jackson at UFC 135 on Sep 24, 2011
2. def. Lyoto Machida at UFC 140 on Dec 10, 2011
3. def. Rashad Evans at UFC 145 on Apr 21, 2012
4. def. Vitor Belfort at UFC 152 on Sep 22, 2012
5. def. Chael Sonnen at UFC 159 on Apr 27, 2013
6. def. Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165 on Sep 21, 2013
7. def. Glover Teixeira at UFC 172 on Apr 26, 2014
8. def. Daniel Cormier at UFC 182 on Jan 3, 2015

I've been watching years but to look back on those names... Guy needs to get back soon. I mean shit. The guy's a killer killer.

For me Jon Jones was not far off being the greatest of all time in MMA

He wasnt necessarily in the best or closest tear ups, like some of the old legends, but he pretty much wiped out the most stacked division, whilst not even training properly most of the time.

He's certainly not my favourite, but I think he's already the greatest to date. No other fighter has been so adept at beating world-class fighters at their own game. His sheer talent and versatility is totally unmatched. He doesn't win by relying on his strengths, he simply takes away those of his opponent.

Best the UFC has seen for sure. Not particularly sure how he stands against Emelianenko's history, but as far as his unorthodox style and dynamism goes - might cut it alone. And after LHW? That match with Cain.... That needs to happen.

McGregor might follow the same path with the ease he's been dispatching opponents on the feet. After all the bullshit which I still dislike about his character, he's destined for greatness.

Fedor's my favourite of all time, but Jones has taken less damage, won in more different ways, and the calibre of all of his opposition can't be called into question.

Fedor would often drop a round before figuring out 'how to win' (overhand right, RNC, or armar, usually), but Jones looks at his opponent's strongest areas and beats them there just because he can.

Fedor takes hearts and minds for sure, but unless Jon Jones comes back and has a horrowshow run like Fedor in Strikeforce, he's the GOAT for me.

Nick is back Jan I think.

That might be his last fight full stop with these new drug laws tbh.

I'd love to see Lawler vs Condit and Rory vs Hendriks. Those would be fantastic fights. Diaz vs any of them would be amazing if he stopped smoking weed long enough.

Pure barn burner and as keeps getting mentioned, a lot of these heavies get into their prime quite late on in their career.

If the UFC signed Fedor I'd stick him against Mir. That'd be a stern enough test to see if he's still got it.

dont kid yourself about the UFC being interested in testing him, or even signing him. he'll be off to bellator for a huge payday against a soft opponent. dana will ask but they wont co promote, which is what fedors people always demanded.

His management are useless but I've long stopped listening to dana too he's full of shit.

'idiots the fighters are better off with the reebok deal'

*90% of fighters are now on less money*

Did anyone see Bispings toe btw? ouch.

He's called out Vitor and Hendo saying he'd beat them without their peds.

Bisping vs Henderson 2 would be a great Fight Night type main. All the history and bad blood from their TUF season leading to THAT KO! on the biggest UFC of all time. Be a good fight to headline a UK show.

dan wont do it, and to be honest, he'd still smash bisping.

the reebok kits remain absolutely awful. was hoping calderwood would lose aswell, shes hopeless. to imagine people were matching her with jedrzejczyk just a few months ago.

The recently concluded UFC 189 is one hell of an event especially the Lawler vs. Mcdonald match. That welterweight title fight is by far the greatest MMA match this year in my opinion. Total display of strenght and technique. That is what MMA is all about. If Mcdonald was not knocked out, he would have gotten the belt but Lawler will not let his belt slip his hand. True warriors right there.

As per UFC fight night 72, that toe injury looks really painful. Kudos to Michael Bisping but I thought Thales won the fight.

I only saw the main event at the weekend, but I had Leites winning too. It was close enough that it wasn't a robbery though..

Bisping really seems to have so little drive to get the job done these days. He's probably just tired and knows he's getting well paid regardless. He's smart to chase big-money rematches with Hendo and Belfort - probably doesn't even care if he goes to sleep twice.

I thought she was the most likable contestant on her season of TUF. Everyone whose met her has had nice things to say about her. Plus Scots love her for repping them.

You could say she has not lived upto her Invicta hype though and has looked rather sloppy of late. The UFC did seem to be wanting to fast track into a title shot Dan Hardy style at one point too.

TBH most people really like her and want to see her do well. She is'nt really a controversial figure at all.

Nice story that, Franklin has always come across as a chilled bloke. Smart too, I recall his maths degree always getting a mention in the rundowns.

I just read One FC has a rule set closer to Pride too. :o Very nice.

Stitch Duran sacked for giving out about the reebok deal. Fucking hell, UFC. You dicks.

Telling the truth is more like it. You know they want to fire Aldo too but can't. The deal stinks. The fighters can't have their own sponsorship deals but the UFC can put loads of different sponsors on the cage? Only time until it goes to court.

I worry about guys like Tom Lawlor who is'nt a top guy but is a fun fighter, he has been slating the Reebok deal every chance he gets. Its a shame there is no Pride or Strikeforce around right now. Bellator has made strides but they don't have the money to capitilize on how pissed of alot of fighters are atm.

I hear Joe Rogan has slated the deal on his podcast recently too. I think he is a job for life guy with the UFC but its interesting he is talking about it too. The stories Stitch tells of Dana not giving a fuck about fighters behind the scenes and being a dickhead don't really surprise me. The way he boasts about playing for millions on Blackjack tables but will throw fighters under the bus if they dare ask for a payrise sum him up.

I'll still watch and its not really as a surprise the people basicly running a sport are massive twats. Tis sad though to see someone like Stitch who is loved by the fighters forced out for daft reasons.
