it did? :(

I always thought someone liked the Warthogs and the MC helmets and thought they could make a race game out of it.

So, who knows! :(

it'll need a pc upgrade and it'll be boring. it's by iD

It's coming to consoles aswell, though you are probably right on the second part :(

Looks to be a nice demonstration of id Tech 5, move over UE3, you've been made redundant.

I dont mind iD really, but their outburst that Doom 3 was really good and those bad internets ran it down...it was a game of monsters in cuboards.

Also Rage reminds me of rubbish scouse developers of david beckham and striker.

I am getting sick and deadtired of the same old same old enemies. Can we get past misformed mutated people please :(

Whatever Id do, people will moan.

Even if Rage is amazing, you know that Eurogamer will give it a sniffy review hilariously pointing out that it's brown. Like a post-apocalyptic desert is going to be presented in gaudy primary colours. Twats.

  • 4 weeks later...

Just been reading up on Rage, it looks like the 360 version will on two disks and be inferior in the graphics department;

"We're pretty much resigned to the fact that we're going to make [Rage] fit onto two DVDs on the 360."
"All of the key scenes, the things anyone is going to take a screenshot of are going to look exactly the same on both platforms," Carmack explains. "They'll get the high quality compression. But if you go into some areas in the wasteland, like behind a fence where nobody will typically go and explore, this is where the 360 version may look a little blurry compared to the PS3."

Which makes me think... with the upcoming update for the 360 allowing games to be installed, why can't it have a mandatory install so the textures can be decompressed and whatnot. And for those who don't have live, therefore not being able to get the update this autumn, also include the update on the disk, so all xbox can play it.

the updated installer is an option...they key word you use is mandatory. MS cant do it because of none hdd owners. annoying yes but the ps3 version will have way more problems than 2 discs and compressed textures. that shit pad and crap online for a kick off.

That doesn't sound too bad.
