dying fewer times than your teammates is always a good feeling :-) i don't usually score more than my teammates so can't really comment on how that one goes.

i stayed up til 3am waiting for some american friends to come play videogames with me and they never showed, but on the plus side we got some firefight in too. crazy stuff going on with hammer sprees. firefight is lots of fun when you're playing for points rather than just to survive for the endure challenge. also popping grunts off ghosts with the pistol is one of my new favourite things.

I picked this up on a whim last week for a tenner and finished it off over the weekend. Really enjoyed it, felt much more like CE than any of the other sequels and probably the best SP campaign since the original for me.

One obvious criticism: Too fucking dark. Other than that, great stuff.

Ha, yes, it is very dark. But I like the massive disparity between the stealthy night time levels and then the bright, over saturated flashbacks.

Going back to this from Reach though, I keep pressing X to reload rather than RB, and keep getting blinded in the day time levels.

This this this!!!!!

I've only just played it now and it's got a really different atmosphere to the other Halos I've played. I loved it to bits. I was disappointed by the representation of New Mombassa in Halo 2 (probably because I only played it this year) but ODST made up for it. A tight story, nice voice acting and an episodic format that suited the set piece structure.
