Disappointing end level to Halo 3? It was great. A proper homage to the first game, but even grander in scale.

Why didn't you like it?

The last level was fine. Cortana was a pile of thick, steaming shit, though.

Yeah, those fucking dog/spider/gun turret flood were shite. Whoever thought they were a good idea needs sacking. I bet it was the same designer who came up with the buggers.

Take those out and I reckon it's a pretty decent level.

It would have been a nice addition to the mix if they hadn't have been such huge bullet sponges with a really effective attack. Dial their HP way down and attack down a bit and they would have been fine.

You can just unload a full needle clip into them to take them down in one, but carrying a needled around wasn't conducive to fighting the rest of the flood.

It's a shame really, as I think they were trying to make them seem tougher than they were, like the hunters, but it just didn't work.

One charged up plasma pistol shot kills them in 1 as well I think?

I'm playing SP at present. The game is so-so, the only interesting elements being when you come across a clue and the mission that ensues soonafter. Otherwise traipsing around the city isn't much fun at all.

Saying that I just came across the mongoose to use in the game so I can bomb around a bit although the sector that I've located it in has loads of stupid barriers and blockades up :hmm:

It doesn't have a flappy thing but it does have a bigger spindle that both discs fit on. Where'd you get it from?

amazon reseller.

should it be a case with a number 2 on a tall spindle? or one of those round/round ones that tries to be clever? (ie. not the 6 segment one)

the discs themselves are spotless.
