That OG Xbox looks restless... perhaps it needs a new home?

it’s heavily… modded. Kind of my backup to the Pandora. Also I still have og Xbox games that never appeared on the BC list.

Is there an easy hdmi solution for og Xbox? I have a Yod@Box in the loft.

It's also the only console I've ever successfully repaired.

Interested to know that too. I need to get an OG, preferably with an HDMI mod, for JSRF goodness, seeing as it was never made BC.

In fact, I want to have a word with historic Me about selling all my consoles. SNES, PSX, XB, GC, PS2, DS. Idiot.

JSRF works on 360 if you have the original disk (eg not the Sega GT complication) . One of the levels plays about half speed though ...

There are external adaptors, but the quality isn't great. There are internal HDMI mods that take a 1:1 digital signal from the GPU, but they're not cheap.

Right. I want to get all the handheld consoles of my past again. Where is the best place to start?

I already have 3DS and Vita so a long way to go

I do regret selling.

First boot sale of the year on Sunday at my new hunting grounds.

Looks to be raided long before I get there by game dealers, there's a big seller who has a lot of rare and high end games at eBay prices. Did pick up a few bits of common cex trading fodder as I'm after some the pricier original xbox titles, busted dual shock 4 for parts, etc.

Find of the morning for me was a lovely vintage Aiwa amp for £10 which I'm going to restore. May keep if Mrs Spartan allows

Thing of beauty. Look at those knobs.

Are there car boot sales in the London area anyone would recommend? I need things to do on weekend mornings now I’m getting up at a decent hour without a hangover.

There was a big one near Nine Elms in Battersea every Sunday, I had some success there a few times with handheld consoles and other electronics

we should have never stopped making things out of brushed metal.

So true. Looks a lot nicer than plain old black as everything is nowadays. I bet it sounds a lot nicer than many modern little hi-fi's. I expect it has a nice, warm sound.

It will be built better too with better material.

Beautiful thing isn't it?

It was very grubby and damp but it's fired up fine after a clean up and looks to be in full working order despite being over 40 years old (looks to have been made in 1979/1980).

Picked up a set of decent mercury mx2's tannoys at the recycling centre near me for £7.50 a few days later, like it was meant to be.

Can confirm it sounds absolutely glorious for £17.50

A very soggy affair this morning.

Still, some bounty. The high priced dealer was regaling someone about his latest Facebook find (massive joblot of boxed N64 carts, PS1 games and SNES carts for £300 which he's been reselling for silly money) but let me walk away with an cart only copy of Super Aleste on SNES for £15, love a good shmup so that's staying.

Another old £10 360 to clean up and clear out some of my cables and controllers.

Some random old electronics to flip on to pay for the fuel mostly (sat nav, monitor colour calibrator). FB marketplace brought me a Xbox One X with a controller for £60 yesterday so that will go in my office and a smashed up but working Xbox one Digital for £40 the day before. Like to tinker so will repair it for now, see if my daughter gets on with using it to play some of the digital games I bought off live over the years.
