That's a crazy stash. Well done keeping it all, the amount of stuff I traded in over the years to get new stuff..... We were such fools

Apparently, she just found 40 or 50 Dreamcast games and a Sega Saturn with some games. Basically, I've been abroad quite a lot for the past 7 or 8 years and just let my collection sit there. The next time I'm home I'll try and do a proper inventory!

As the weather changes, my usual winter hunting ground has unfortunately closed for good in South wales, so I have ventured across to foreign lands.

England, across the Severn.

So far, it's not proved particular fruitful game wise, few 360/PS3 gen titles mostly. Weirdly a different feel to the Welsh boots. Loads of new stuff for sale, market traders, etc.

Anyway, today has brought me a a very unexpected non retro purchase. A full-size 3D printer for £38, with several layers of dust. Seller said he hadn't used it for a year or two but had done some upgrades, was moving house and wanted it gone.

Mmmm 😋 that Yarooze is damn tasty 🤤

It feels amazing too, though as you can tell from the photos, they aren't the easiest to keep clean as the matt finish means even dust wants to stick to it.

Unfortunately, it's missing the memory card, though having the cable is more important.  I used to use it combined with a copy of the boot disc and using the disc swap method (hence the smart cart / power replay in the other photo) 😅 I wish I'd got a box for it.  At uni, there was a pile of boxes on top of a cupboard, and we used to play "chair bowling" with them.  Basically stacking them up and then sliding ourselves the length of our lab towards the boxes to see who could knock the most down.  This was part of our chair Olympics, where we'd also do chair bunny hops.  We learnt at uni that wheels could break off of office chairs complete with most of the arm they are attached to, and thus, create trophies for us!  Pretty sure I picked up manuals for it on eBay years later too, but not come across those yet.

My folks got around to clearing out their loft, and sent me a big box of my junk, so I’ve been happily going through my old stuff. Most of its fairly common- except this one (yes, I bought myself two copies back in 2003 so these are the green button versions - the bottom one is still sealed in it’s shipping box):

This is top shelve madness, I love it!

I loved playing gams with silly, dedicated peripherals, whether it was dance games, rhythm action, DJ / band hero, Samba etc. but never stretched to Steel Battalion.

Does make me think that combining with VR could be amazing though

I don’t suppose you wanna sell the multitap and controllers? I’m after some

Not looking to sell at the moment, sorry. For now I’m looking to save this stuff at least until my 8 year old daughter is old enough to know if she’s into games and retro games at that. As she ages, my mind may change, but for now, I’m hoping it’s all something we can bond in as she grows :)

Cor, that’s in superb nick. Probably nicer to look at than play!

Indeed, its half the reason I picked it up despite owning an Everdrive. I've a softspot for the original black label Megadrive carts, the artwork was amazing. I managed to find Alien Storm earlier this year at a boot sale cheap.

Well I don’t think I’ve ever posted in this thread, but whilst looking for some missing records I’ve found my old DC stuff.  There’s a console, keyboard and fishing thingy up here too.

Not a clue if they’re worth anything except the obvious one on top 😃..

Edit - it appears some are rather pricey but do they actually sell for those prices?

One of my fav games was Record of Lodos war which I only ever borrowed off someone sadly. I think I had Powerstone at some stage too.
What I do know is I swapped House of the Dead 2 with the guns with someone on here at Liverpool St. station about 20 years ago.  I think that was for GC Pikmin and Viewtiful Joe or something.
I’ll be uncovering that lot too while I work out what to do with it all.

I shall bear it in mind.
GC stuff located - all US. Not a very comprehensive selection- I think most of the time was spent playing RE4.
