not sure if the kiwi's peaked last week and thought the trophy was theirs, but England have been amazing today, so defensively disciplined and solid and flair on the attack too.

they've utterly shut the all blacks down.

If it weren’t for giving away the cheapest of tries, this would have been immaculate from England. Even that only allowed them to shrug it off and regain control.

impeccable performance, to not give away cheap points from pens and completely shut down the kiwi passing attack is something I thought was impossible

Hit them hard right from the kick-off and never took their foot off the All Blacks’ throat. Hugely impressive performance from England that just shut NZ down.

What a fucking win for England, they were absolutely immense, New Zealand could not break their defence at all and the try was completely gifted. TMO really spared NZ's blushes too.

NZ looked very ordinary indeed.  They were gifted their try and were lucky not to be more points down.  There's no argument against their incredible consistency, and every team has its off days, but you'd never guess they were the bes team in the world from today's performance.

Fair unfortunately. Frustrating as fuck, but he did drop the ball, the was caught by another player and then he grabbed it again.

I'm staggered at the amount of forward passes from NZ the ref missed though. One was dead obvious and in front of both the ref and touch judge.

Great win from England, we absolutely dominated and did not given them an inch. Total control - not often anyone achieves that against the Kiwi’s!

The team looked like they were well and truly up for winning, nothing seemed to knock their spirits. Fantastic energy.

I’m watching from NZ where I know they will be absolutely devastated. Rugby is everything to them!

(On that note... it may surprise you to know that the Aussies don’t actually give a shit about Union - League is their game)

fair, but how many of those have been missed historically? Or on a daily basis?

Bit of redemption for Tuilagi after all his injuries and off-field escapades. My parents are big Leicester fans and im glad he scored

What difference does that make? If the ref or tmo see something that needs reviewing they will do. If someone did that and got away with it in the past then that just means they got away with it because TMO or the ref didn't have a good view of it. Cant just go changing the rules because it happens in other games and is missed.

England were immense in just about every aspect but their line speed in defence was insane. NZ just never had a chance to get to the gain line, let alone break it.

If the game was at the Millennium stadium I’d agree but England’s record away from there is really good. Pointing to the last WC didn’t exactly help Australia.

Id prefer to play SA as winning a WC beating all 4 rugby championship teams would be really impressive.

I'm just happy to watch the final now. That England performance was Herculean. One of the best sporting performances I've seen. Inspired and brilliant. Like beating Usain Bolt at the 100m

Every man played their part. A 110% effort.
