Rllmuk's Official Sales Figures Thread

I've been saying for a while that the 360 is struggling to maintain momentum in the UK, and Europe, and these figures bear that out once again.

As Scottr said, it's had the bext line-up of games by a mile in the secondhalf of 2008, as well as price-cuts, and the release of a new version (the Elite). However, bar a few brief surges, it has been around the 11,000 mark in the UK. Whereas the Wii, which is suply-constrained overhere, is murdering the opposition - almost catching the DS!!

Seems that the majority of Halo sales have gone to people who already had 360s.

Nintendo must be laughing, although at the same time worrying that they won't be able to capitalise fully on the Wii's runaway success unless they can get more machines on shelves before and then during Christmas. I wonder how long we'll have to wait for the news stories - 'Wiis go for a small fortune on eBay as parents get desperate!'

I saw something in one of the Sunday papers which was talking about how expensive Christmas has become and it had the Wii listed as the must have gift with "£400" next to it and saying something along the lines of worldwide shortages are gonna lead to people turning to ebay and prices going above retail value.

They are already over £250 on ebay.

Aye, I know a couple of people who are stockpiling Wiis themselves ready to sell on eBay come December.

One of them was cheeky enough to moan that Game forced him to buy a game with each of the Wiis he bought at the weekend. :)

So a Wii is going to cost more than a PS3 this Christmas! :)

Fucking fanboys. Yeah well amusing for people like me who just want to get a Wii from a shop but can't because they can't make enough.

I like it... "Sony LOL" when the PS2 was low on stock. "FUCK THEM" for not being able to get enough. "LOL probably doing it on purpose".

Now it's the Wii, "ooo look, now I gotta pay nearly £300 if I want a Wii :) Excellent".

The money part doesn't bother me. I just can't ever find one in a shop and I don't want one secondhand.

What annoys me is peoples attitudes. "WOO YAY WII FOR £100 MARK-UP". How is that something to smile about? Unless you're a fanboy. Or a twat.

You'd be able to smile about it if you weren't such a massive fanboy.

Nobody is celebrating it, it's just a funny turn in fortunes. For all the whining Sony apologists did about the PS3 not selling because of the price, it's amusing that the Wii is going to be selling for more than it this Christmas.

In a similar vein, it's funny to see that the PS3 managed to sell as much per week as the much cheaper X360 for large parts of this year (as shown in the Nintendo graph), despite having 'no games' :)
