Breaking Bad

Well, it was pretty much the whole episode wasn't it. That was one of the things I liked. So many shows have conversations/discussions between characters that terminate just as they are starting to get interesting (The West Wing was hugely, hugely guilty of this), but this went all the way.

Saw the love on this thread and downloaded episode 1. Was just so tired last night and watched 10mins but from that it comes across as something that has potential. I can seriously usually tell from 1 minute etc if a american tv drama is just tired old crap, didn't detect that at all in the first 10mins. Will watch full episode tonight and update you all!

I'm loving this show, it just gets better and better, and to have the stones to start the episode with them scraping up

melted corpse

is pretty brave IMO. It feels like a HBO show to me.

I get the feeling it might have been originaly meant for a HBO or a Showtime type network, with the swearing bleeped out and the pixalated nudity.

Just watched the whole first episode. Was so fresh and interesting and really nicely done. Really don't like the wife character/actress, her humour seems too forced. I'm being a bit harsh there as it was only 2 lines of hers where it stood out (the bed scenes).

I really liked how it concluded the flash forward at the start within the first episode. I was expecting it to be a fast forward from the end of the series but to be honest the way the episode came to an end was good enough for me to be done with the series. I can't really see where it can go from here. I'll watch the next episode more out of curiosity then anything.

The 4th episode is fantastic, yet again. Far more focused on Jesse than the previous 3 episodes. The scene with the 'bikers' about 15 minutes in, is hillarious.

Yeah, I thought that was the best bit in the entire episode, not much else was of much interest to me, apart from the ending ;)

Just watched the 5th.

It wasn't bad but it was the worst episode so far, very slow and didn't really go anywhere.

I thought it was wonderful. The intervention scene towards the end was incredible. Powerhouse acting from all involved. Someone give Bryan Cranston an award, already. The whole episode actually reminded me of Six Feet Under.

You mean apart from the

intervention, the party where you found out more about Walt's past, the chemo and the decision to start cooking again?

Brilliant episode as usual. Especially the intervention...somebody pass me the talking pillow.

I thought Six Feet Under was rubbish though.

Brilliant episode as usual. Especially the intervention...somebody pass me the talking pillow.

I felt that the main duration of the show was taken up by things which had already gone on previously, we just saw more arguing from him not wanting to have the treatment and quite frankly the party scene was a big bore, who really cares about the bloke he used to work with and the woman he had an affair with? This episode was just created to get the series back on track.

Don't get me wrong, it wasn't rubbish, I just wouldn't go as far to say that it was wonderful or brilliant.
