That's been there for a few weeks now, I think. Splaser and shotgun have gone, and the beam rifle's been moved to where the shotgun used to be. The change is for the better, I think. Without the shotgun there's far less camping in the garage.

What do people make of Head to Head?

In case you haven't played the games are "Duel" games, which means that the winning player has a marker over their head. Means they can't camp.

I like playing 1v1, and I've enjoyed the 6 or so games I've played. The markers mean that when you are in the lead, you know the other guy knows exactly where you are. It is odd, but I think it works.

19th July is the double exp weekend, featuring the almighty Griftball ( i think it's spelled that way )

Played a few games and my best achievement yet from killing was this game - Game!. Was quite fun overall, wouldn't mind playing with others either tomorrow or something, you can find me on the rllmukhalo friends list.

they're so massively host weighted games too. i just played a round of swords and one team had almost 20 kills each and the rest of us, on the other 2 teams, only had around 9 each. it's definitely not down to skill, as there's not much involved when you're just hitting the button as soon as the reticule goes red.

it was quite funny though.

Have they altered the spawning?

It's really messed me up in team slayer. I'm slow and purposeful and focus on survival. However, over the weekend I was playing team slayer lots and my gung-ho team mates kept spawning on my position and running out like kamikaze giving my position away every time. It is like I have become a mobile spawn point for the rest of the team.

I don't remember it being like this before. It's seems a bit silly as there was one point on valhalla yesterday when I was in one of the caves on the side and was pinned down on all sides. I was keeping my head down thinking that my team mates would flank them at some point. But no, they kept spawning on my position, running out and being mowed down by the ghost camped outside. At one point there were 3 of us crouched down hiding in the cave.

I've got to start thinking differently about my approach as I am losing nearly every match at the moment due to my team mates running out from my position. It's quite typical for my team mates to all score minus figures while I get my usual 10 kills 5 deaths.

I've been having exactly the same problem with randoms. I usually get a positive k/d ratio in Team Slayer games unless matched with second accounts and the entire team gets massacred, but I seem to keep losing games. :)

Want to hook up for Team Slayer action? ^_^

Tal, what rank are you in Team Slayer? I have a team of 3 playing regularly and we'd be pleased to have a 4th if you're ever on, we're not amazing, about level 25 or thereabouts. Finding that we're peaking and troughing quite a bit at the moment.

The second account mob ruin this for me, personally. I suck at it, so I can't fathom why on earth people would create second accounts purely to play lesser skilled players like myself.

Why doesn't the matchmaking use the TrueSkill base rather than the Playlist one?

To ruin the shit out of you, and thus feel better about themselves. Pricks.

I think the only way to possibly stop new account douchebags is to make DLC compulsory for matchmaking and tie the DLC to one account obviously. Not ideal though.

Stats reset tomorrow, should be an interesting few weeks.
