Amazing work @JoeK. Really fantastic.

And @Davros sock drawer thank you, thank you, thank you for that link. I've got a few things built, ready to paint, and that is going to be incredibly useful as I work on them. I After a period of not having time to paint, things are starting to ease a little, but I want to paint something other than marines, so will be scouring that to see if I need to pick up anything first.

I’ve just started playing Blood Bowl again after about…. 20-odd years since I last played! It’s still as fun as I remember it, and I thought I should have a go at doing some painting too.

First attempt is an ogre… need to figure out how to do highlighting as looks a bit flat at the moment, but I enjoyed doing this much more than I expected to.

(should also find a better way to take photos…)

An amazing new resource by Dave Perryman (Infernal Brush), a former 'eavy metal painter:

https://eavy-archive.com/

Has the actual, true recipes used, rather than the weird, obviously wrong recipes on the GW site.

That's amazing. and from the bits and pieces I've got from guys on the Siege team who are ex-eavy metal, it seems accurate.  Interesting that the odd Vallejo colour pops up in there, such as Vallejo Model Air Silver being used in the highlights on Custodes' gold armour.

I'm tempted to spend a couple of hours screenshotting every recipe, because I can't imagine it's going to stay up very long.

Is the Vallejo air paint for air brushes/sprays only ? Potentially silly question or name convention.

Nope, you can use it with a brush just fine. Just bear in mind that it starts off thinner than most paints.

My youngest (who is 4) wanted a ghost painted. I only have two ghosts as part of my Necromantic Horror blood bowl team and he can’t have either of those….

….hang on, I had that box of storm cast externals and weird rat ghosts!

He chose the one with a drum.

I think 40k 10th edition will be the edition I get back into the game. I've been painting these Imperial Fists for my son, and from the research ended up getting some models to paint up some Carcharadons (along with some female League of Votann heads, because transhuman rights are human rights). The news/rumours 10th ed will come out this year sounds like a starting pistol in my head.

Lovely, just got the Gaunt's Ghosts box set to paint on commission - been wanting to give these a go for a while now, and getting paid to do it sounds like a bit of a result really :)

Nice! I didn’t paint mine for commission but I did sell them on eBay which led to commissions from the same buyer.

Still probably my favourite minis I’ve painted.

Cheers dude. I would have liked another crack at Gaunt himself, as I clogged the face details a bit. But the guy on the tree branch is still one of my best efforts I think.

The damned and the cursed do not always lurk in the forests or in the graveyards of the Old World. Sometimes they come together, forming a group to hunt those more unfortunate of souls. Finding relief in crazed outbursts of terrible violence, these groups do the best they can to ease their suffering – they pop off for a nice game of Blood Bowl.
