Jesus Christ ITV are shit. This show is pretty good, nothing amazing, but way better than almost all the other shit on ITV. But if I can't see the second episode I'm not going to bother with the rest of the series. And no way am I going to go through the rigmarole of torrenting it just to make up for ITVs utter incomptence.

I didn't see the first episode.

But surely the best alternative would be for ITV to show the last two episodes of the series on one night like the BBC did with Heroes? Unless it would clash with a repeat of A Touch of Frost or something. ;)

I think I'm on the verge of abandoning this. I've been watching on ITV1 and still have Saturday's episode sat on the Sky+, but I can't really find the enthusiasm to watch it. I feel it's like a doughnut; sweet and attractive, but lacking in any real nourishment.

Probably another show that's going to meet it's end in the harsh environment of Fishy's "too many things to do and not enough time to do them in" life then.

Yeh this is alright to watch but the crime elements are really simple and unshocking. It's like they're expecting me to go "OMG HOW CLEVER" when theres a bit of a twist at the end which I already predicted. And yeah just the contrived tweeness and Tim Burton-wannabe atmosphere is just annoying. And the main character is starting to piss me off with his "I'm uncomfortable" face constantly. This is seems to be the only emotion he feels. While Chuck is just like "lol im enthuisiastic" and he's like "lol i'm not" and the detective is like "oh you silly guys!".

But it's alright.

Well, looks like Pushing Daisies is dead, too. Although it hasn't been outright cancelled yet the network isn't ordering any more shows until they've decided its fate. That's a great shame, seeing as it's probably the best show currently running. I was under the impression ithat the first season did really well, so I've got no idea where the viewers went. Just as they were about to do a

Wonderfalls crossover

as well. :(

As I understand it, based on not much at all, it was the writers strike that killed it. The first season did really well but then the gap between the new episodes/seasons was too big and when the show returned it didn't get anywhere near the ratings.

There must be a reality TV show they stick on instead. America's Funniest Hidden Cameras In Insurance Companies or something equally brilliant :(

Again, probably making this up, but I understood it was going to be the lead in show (or already is) for Lost's slot in the new year - Yep, just checked - second quote below

From AICN

ABC's hilarious “Daisies,” which lost a ton of viewers during the long strike-spawned hiatus separating its first and second seasons, seems a long-shot for a full-season order.
It’s especially disappointing speculation considering ABC could have easily formed an all sci-fi Wednesday night. The network has already scheduled “Lost” for 9 p.m. and “Life on Mars” for 10 p.m. that night. “Daisies” currently airs 8 p.m. Wednesdays.

Now Official -

Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money and Eli Stone Axed

Source: The Hollywood Reporter

November 20, 2008

ABC made numerous midseason programming announcements Thursday, including ordering more episodes of "Life on Mars" and deciding against picking up "Pushing Daisies," "Dirty Sexy Money" and "Eli Stone" for a full season, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The network informed producers of "Daisies," "Money" and "Stone" that no additional hours will be ordered at this time. The network left the door open for ordering episodes in the future, though that is considered unlikely.

The trio remain on the schedule for next week, and "Money" and "Stone" will finish their current production order (on their 12th and 13th episodes, respectively). "Daisies" has finished shooting.

I don't know. I just assumed it would be dubbed so didn't try downloading it. Perhaps I should see if there is a sample file included and have a look...

[EDIT]

No sample, but it is labeled as German language.
