This has almost certainly been discussed, but the internets isn't coughing up the answer for me. I've just bought the 3, 4 & 5 collection on PS4, but only 3 is showing up for download. I even installed it thinking it might be a front end of sorts, but it's just 3.

You should have all three in your purchase history. I think you need to manually add them to your library/download them.

On my purchase history on the store website it shows the collection, but only if I click through the entry for 3. It says I can download from there but it doesn't work. Seems a lot of people have had trouble with this 🤷‍♂️

Try it on console. The web store is a mess.

Nearing the end of Kiwami just now, grinding out the Coliseum to finish off the completion list and after 20+ runs of the final tournament I've realised that I wasn't using what I thought was Tiger Drop, but rather Essence of Sumo Slapping, which scales in damage pretty significantly after the first time you use it in a fight. I've gone from each tournament run being a 5+ minute grind to under 2 minutes of scudding fools in the gut. Jeezo.

Probably would have made all those Majima encounters much quicker too.

Yeah, Tiger Drop is stupidly OP in every game it's available in. Some Yakuza's even give you a skill that loosens the strict timing and makes it even easier and MORE OP.

The fact that it works on weapons as well just makes it even better.

Finished off the Yakuza Kiwami Completion List now thanks to Tiger Drop. Gonna see off the final story chapter tonight before mopping up whatever is needed for the last of the trophies. My intention is to play through Stray and maybe Returnal after that but I just know I'll immediately download Kiwami 2.

Recently got Lost Judgement for the Xbox as I was craving a new Yakuza like game and must admit it was much better than anticipated. How come there's so little buzz around this spinoff franchise, it's really rather excellent. I was afraid playing as another protagonist in the same city as in the Yakuza games would feel like playing something recycled but in all honesty it really works as the familiarity of the surroundings often reminds me of previous adventures but now I get to enter new buildings and see other parts of the city I never got to see before.

The opening chapter alone in Lost Judgement was excellent, it kinda felt like Yakuza meets Persona 5, loved sneaking around the school placing spycams and speakers. The main plot is also shaping up in a promising manner and can't wait to see how it all pans out. The only thing lacking in Lost Judgement for me, at least so far, is the weirdness and tongue-in-cheek humour seen in the Yakuza games.

It's good and the sequel is too.

The main protagonist is no Kiryu-chaaaaan (or even ichiban, really) but I do like the detective angle and I think it worked really well to be on the other side of the law but in a city you already knew.

I kind of wished there was some sort of very clever (and probably impossible) tie in shenanigans with the other Yakuza games and also your saves but not surprising that it didn't.

I just hope the third still gets made after all the rights issues with the main actor but I like the rest of the gang as it is, so I think it would work no problem.

I think Lost Judgment is the sequel.

Oh yeah, i just assumed it to be the first as it read like rayn's first foray.

The sequel is probably better because of the variety with the school though but I think I found the main case more engaging in the original but that might also be misremembering .

I’ve played neither btw. I bought the PS4 original in a sale yeaaaars ago but there’s since been a PS5 version of that, and there’s no way to upgrade the PS4 version without straight up buying the PS5 version. Shite.

I think I played the ps4 version on the ps5 of the sequel at least.

It's worth playing and I'm not sure how much fancier the ps5 version would be. I did all of yak:LaD in the ps4 version on ps5 and then they released the upgrade version on a free through plus or whatever about a week after I finished the ps4 version and you can't carry saves across 🙄

I'm half tempted to do it again but also buy the other jobs DLC just for the novelty value but I think it's still too fresh.

Yeah I got the impression @Rayndone fucked up getting the sequel unintentionally ahead of the O.G.

Gah, you are correct. I've gone for the sequel first. FFS. Oh well, I'm still enjoying it very much, if it keeps up Imma need to play the pre-cursor after. It's almost like playing the Yakuza games all over again, where the origins version is played later (as in Yakuza 0 being released later......I'm grasping at straws here....)

FWIW fella, I was able to upgrade to the PS5 version of Lost Judgement with only my PS4 disc, free of charge. Can't imagine it would be any different for the first one?

I'm going to try to replay this summer, and get onto the Kaito Files!

It is different. Wasn’t Lost Judgment released after PS5 had launched? The original Judgment was a few years before that, and they didn’t provide an upgrade path for that. PS5 version is a separate app / SKU.

Judgment is getting a bit of an upgrade during the transition, too, with shorter load times, 60 frames-per-second gameplay, and the inclusion of all of its previously released DLC. The re-release is priced at $39.99. A Sega representative told us there aren’t any cross-buy plans, so if you’ve already purchased the game on PlayStation 4 you’ll have to buy it again to enjoy the PlayStation 5 enhancements.

Considering how the franchise is going from strength to strength, it's still a pity that Yakuza Kenzan & Yakuza Ishin never got official Western releases.

SEGA have been teasing a Kiwami style remake of Yakuza Kenzan for a while now -

Maybe a possible project after the next mainline Yakuza game.

The trailers did make the games look like a lot of fun -

The original is down from £35 to £15.74 in the latest Xbox sale. If you were thinking about getting it.

Will probably turn up on Game Pass now I just bought it though.

After a long break playing quite a few other games, I started Yakuza 5 yesterday.

It's good to be back, game feels fresh. I played 3 & 4 back to back and it all blurred into one game so glad I took a break.

Spoiler

Chapter 2 at the moment and currently playing Suzuki Taxi Driver.
