Haha, yes, I may give it another go, but I doubt it. I start a new job tomorrow and it just seems like the frustration and time required is just too much to warant the level of fun or achievement I'll get by doing it. Plus, I had to get Zsnes to use my pad, and I don't much like it.

This ROM is pretty nuts. I was wondering something though. Whats the code to put for 99 lives?

Also does anyone have the ROM for the 2nd version of Kaizo as shown here?

Its under the american name and not Kaizo though.

There isn't one in Super Mario World. Anyone using 99 lives in the videos has probably loaded the game into the level editor software and just re-exported it with 99 lives as the default start value for the lives counter.

Also does anyone have the ROM for the 2nd version of Kaizo as shown here?
Its under the american name and not Kaizo though.

We still don't have that yet. I did look for it briefly the other day, but couldn't find anything. Maybe it'll appear on one of the other forums soon, but I'll update the thread if I find anything, and that goes for anyone else as well.

I messaged the guy on youtube who put up the videos of the second one - he was rather vague but he said it wasn't finished, I think he knew the guy who's making it or was a friend-of-friend. I told him to keep in touch if the full ROM was released.

The last stage is up on YouTube, divided into 2 parts - Asshole Mario 2 Stage 10 and Asshole Mario 2 Final for some reason. Credits in Japanese on the end, maybe they can tell us more about where this came from?

Cheers dude; is it possible you (or anyone else) can temporarily up it to some private webspace? Only I'm on the halls network and I can never download anything from those linkshare sites as the download limit is always exceeded. Can anyone help me out there? Good work, though.

Just a quick heads up Dave that N Gamer is linking to your youtube vids of this so expect many more hits. It's at number 7 in it's top 20 of all things nintendo.

Yeah, its definitely 'not cool'.

The first one was punishing, but with good reason. This one is punishing, but only with a mind to make you cry blood. I haven't tried a proper run through yet, but I doubt it will cause such a refreshing Internet impact.

My hosting has changed and so my site doesn't work at the moment. They will be going back online eventually, but I can't say when I'm afraid.

Someone has used the same editor (I think) to make levels that play along with music. It features the Dr. Wily 1 song from Mega Man 2 (:P) amongst others.

People have been posting levels that do that for the best part of a year, but I hadn't seen that one before. That damn niconico medley always gets in my head ^_^
