Stop being such a crybaby fucking windowlicker. What are you, his mum?

Stop being such a crybaby fucking windowlicker. What are you, bizarrely obsessed with posting in a thread about somebody you hate because you disagree with their series of video 'reviews'?

We get it. You don't like ZP. Then why don;t you fuck off out of the thread then?

But Gambit telling people to fuck off out of threads because they're are expressing an opinion you don't like is part of the problem, really.

If you tell him to fuck off, he'll just get annoyed and return and saying something similiar to you, which he has done.

It's better just to laugh it off. Leave him be, with his strange fiery hatred of Yahtzee.

  • 5 weeks later...

It's still a highlight of the week for me, but with that holiday episode I didn't know whether to call him a genius or feel like i've been kicked in the teeth. I decided on the former, & took his advice to go enjoy Christmas.

In the more recent one, I share his scepticism on Natal, & have done ever since it was announced.

It has apparently come to his attention that people are saying that he hates all games, so here is his response.

I find his Extra Punctuation pieces usually worth a read, if only to hear his responses to some of the reader questions.

He doesn't hate ALL games, just uses the medium of an animated swearfest to express his disapproval for what he thinks is wrong with certain titles. I do find myself agreeing (and laughing along) with a lot of his points.

Torchlight review is spot on.

:)

He doesn't seem to have realised that you can hold the mouse button down to keep attacking, or that the levels are randomly generated.

And once again, his reaction to a game with no plot is completely predictable.

It's not so much that, as it is that Torchlight makes NO pretensions to be anything other than a no-frills Diablo-esque clickathon and yet he seems to have expected something different. That'a bit like buying dogfood and expecting steak and eggs really isn't it?

When he takes on the latest blockbusters and their claims to be the next-generation/state-of-the-art in their genres (or even to have invented entirely new ones) I think it's AOK he rips into that - but Torchlight makes no such claims and he seems to be bemoaning it's entire raison d'etre...

Not that it matters - between the various sales and the good press it's had I reckon most people who'll get something from it, did so long before he spoke forth on the topic - so it's a bit moot really :(

Claiming he didn't even get $3 worth of entertainment from the game puts him on the level of the cretins who write negative reviews on the iPhone app store for anything that dares to cost more than $0.99, or who expect to get tech support for pirated games.

Question: Why in Torchlight do I instead of adventuring spend more time meticulously managing my inventory, casting identify spells on equipment and sending my Dog on merchandise runs to get rid of everything every 5 minutes?

Ask any of the designers of the game's predecessors who established the whole RPG gear/weapon model in the first place - back to Diablo and even before that.

I've always felt the endless possibility of upgrades to your gear makes it all worthwhile but TL does overdo it a touch perhaps.

Because there are stats on equipment.

You are fast becoming one of the biggest trolls on this forum - you only seem to pop into threads and say "this is shit".

Not at all. I gave up on Torchlight for the reason I stated and it was mentioned in this review. I agreed with it and thought it was a poorly implemented concept in an otherwise fun game. I praised Caprica today or yesterday. Last time I checked this place was about opinions and stuff. Seems you only see what you want to see.

Also you've gone out of your way to attack me. What's up with that?

I laugh at anyone who takes any fan reviews even remotely seriously. Honestly, this prick tells a couple of shit metaphors and a couple of swears and people take his word as gospel.

Yeah, because everyone who criticises Yahtzee is expecting ZP to be objective buyer's guide style reviews.

Nothing to do with his negativity becoming increasingly lazy and poorly justified (and less funny) as he's run the format into the ground over the past six months. It's annoying because he's slated games that this forum has championed for utterly trivial reasons, not out of any strong personal feeling but because it's become expected.

The visual gags and laugh-out-loud lines ("...oh and HITLER WAS RIGHT") have dried up. The complete kicking he's received whenever he's gotten in front of the camera seems to have scared him off taking any risks. I don't think it's a problem with Croshaw so much as it's unrealistic to expect anyone to crank out something funny and surprising about random games every week for over a year.

It's ironic considering his (hilarious and spot-on) criticism of Ctrl-Alt-Del never getting any better that ZP is falling into the same trap.

And Valiant, I think people are taking umbrage at your comments on Torchlight because someone who doesn't like that kind of game and who has given up before getting to the good stuff (and it's a ridiculously slow starter) isn't going to have very much insightful to say about it, beyond "it's shit".
