Indeed. That one tee-shot on 6 seemed to start the yips.

Great Safari Country Club - 9 Hole (Out)

tyler -2

Spleen -2

Syntax LVL

Great game with the leader changing a few times. Syntax leading going into hole 6 and then going bogey, bogey, bogey. Then I put it within 2m on the last only for Spleen to hole a huge, swinging putt. Good stuff.

ps. Everyone get the final course unlocked.

How do you do it? I am just about to unlock the big muscley guy in the Stars and stripes leather jacket. Will I get it then? I really wish this was in English sometimes.

I've just unlocked him too and I could have sworn I played on the sixth course at some point.

I have unlocked that final course now. Then promptly got my first ever hole in one on the 15th on that course! Fists were a pumping in the air I'll tell you ;)

Wow. Not sure if it's that one but there's a par 3 on that course where I think I've only hit the green twice. I've managed two aces in the whole time I've had the game, both on the first course but different holes.

I'll be on a little later, due to the ET. 6:30pm at the latest.

The Crown Field - 18 Holes

tyler -7

Syntax +12

Spleen +12

Amaze. Cheers for the game guys, a million incidents as it was the first time we'd done 18 holes and that epic course. My experience of the course may have showed but even if you've played it a lot it can bite you. I was +6 over 9 holes in an online tournament the other day.

My previous best was -2 and my records for front and back 9 separately are still -1. Hitting the bunker on the first hole wasn't the best idea but after that everything just seemed to work. Any hole can take shots off you but I was managing to save PAR when it went awry. Both times I started thinking about my score I got punished. On the 9th when I rolled back into the bunker (but saved PAR) and again on 15 when I was thinking about a bogey free round and slid by a 2 footer for a bogey.

I love that course, so cruel but it really makes you play the percentages. The worst is when the ball just hangs on a ridge mid-green and then slowly builds momentum until it's sliding O.B.

You guys loved it aswell right?

I must say it's a very nice course.

Any mistakes are punished.

It all seemed to go downhill for me after I got nine for one hole.

It didn't help that this was only the forth or fifth hole, still a long way to go.

My person just didn't have the power also, but that's no excuse.

I seemed to be drawn towards water and my putting was particually poor. ;)

Anyway, good game, perhaps an easier course next time? :)

Yeah good game, crazy times though!

My game went to shit straight away, what was it, the first or second hole and I was already at +6?!

Fine line between success and failure for sure, the greens are punishing when chipping onto them, the amount of times I thought I hit a great shot only for it to roll on and off the edge and out of bounds! I still enjoyed it though, it was helpful that me and spleen were competing for second place.

Everything you hit Tyler went for you, was some amazing stuff being pulled off. Defo look forward to trying it again, this afternoon was my first time on that course.

I was clearly channelling Tiger after seeing what he's been upto today.

I remember it was -1, -1, +1 after the first and soon you'd raced off to +7! You came back well though, before the back 9...

It really forces you to look at the terrain before hitting a shot. Some holes you have to let the ball roll a lot more and others are just brutal and require pin point accuracy. I hope the DLC course is similar in difficulty.

Course 6 is where the real men go.

So, 9 holes of couse 1 for me.

I should be around tonight, although it will probably be quite late, 10:30ish, as I'm working lates this week.

I'm up for any course, I'm now using the man that tyler used, which will hopefully help.

Actual real-life™ golfer Shigeki Maruyama.

I still choose Yuming (the girl you picked yesterday) for the majority of my play and most of my previous rounds on that course are with Yuming. Which might explain why I trounced my record. Though I think it was mainly some magical force.

Maruyama is also a caddy in the game:

I should be able to play tonight.
