It's only the Scots who seem to go on (and on, and on) about it. I don't think English people particularly care, it's history.

*snorts*

Yeah the fact it took John Motson less than 60 seconds to mention 1966 on Sunday, covering a European final between Spain and Germany in a tournament England never even got too??

I'm pretty hyped for later, I know it's been asked but does anyone know when he'll be taking to the centre court?

I finish at 4.30 today so hopefully catch it all down the pub.

Should be OK. It's on Centre Court after Federer and Ancic which starts at 1. Apparently they try to schedule Murray for later on for better viewing figures.

They did that on the last match, not seeming to think that it would go to 5 sets.... if it had been called of when Gasquet wanted due to light, the result could have been very different.

Why is it they dont have court lighting again?

Would imagine to prevent it from blinding players during shots. Im sure some sort of low level lighting could be developed for it though.

Surely most tennis courts use lighting? There are a lot of indoor tournaments and of course the US Open? I can think of a couple locally that have lighting. They must already has some lighing for the court on centre court, as they are putting a roof on it.

There are always things like glare and shadows to consider when serving, but then the sun does that too.
