Wall-E - New from Pixar

A new animated film from Pixar. "WALL• E" is the saddest, tiny robot you’ve ever seen, he is a garbage collector on a flat, empty planet. The cute little robot has faithfully done his job for 700 years, but never found his true purpose... until now.

The first half of this film is supposed to have no dialogue (barring bleeps from the robots) which is a pretty brave move from a major animation house. In fact, it is probably the bravest thing Pixar have done so far. Hopefully it will all work as Western animation really needs a kick up the arse.

Blimey, that sounds interesting.

Oh good it's clearly going to make me cry-those eyes!

I don't know how they've done it, but the animation seems to have come on another leap from Cars. Looks very promising.

He reminds me of ET a bit and the way he says 'Wall-E'...

Awwww

I read on the Empire site that they are working on this next, then a film called Up in 2009 and Toy Story 3 in 2010!?

But it's not like they only work on one film at a time! These things take years to make, after all. They must have 3-5 films in production at any one time...

Yes, the lead time is huge so they have to have plenty in production. We don't get to see much of them until they're a year or so away from release.

That wasn't really the point I was making. I was more interested in the fact they were working on Toy Story 3

Sounds like Earth is a tip and people have left and the WALL E line was made to clean up the planet so people can return again. Not necessarily the plot of the movie, but sounds like part of the universe of the movie.
