Crikey.. what am I doing wrong then? I've done this.. clicked the app.. it seems to do 'something' but I no files that end with .neo appear. Must be the heat effecting my clarity and commonsense ;) but want this to work

EDIT: The NeoDS files don't have an Icon on them when viewed using the PC.. do they need patching?

Just picked up one of those 2gig micro SD cards from Play. I only have a 1gig in my R4 at the mo, was waiting for the price to drop. Yay.

So, any news on other emulators, preferably a GB/GBC one? I can't imagine why there isn't one out there.

Anyone have any idea how to get Dungeon master working?

I've put the nds file in my game older and all the other files in the ttdd one but when I load it up it gets to parsing the dungeon data file and doesnt do anything else :o

The dungeon master emu is pretty lame to be honest, all you can do is wonder about the hall of champions.

Looks like they gave up on it

Just been trying out Lameboy, the GB/GBC emulator. It's pretty solid, plays most of the games I throw at it perfectly. The sound isn't 100%, tends to glitch or corrupt sounds but still, not bad at all. Now at least I can play Tetris DX on my DS :(.

Can't wait until they get the sound better so I can use LSDJ though.

So, is the R4 still top dog or have any of the newer pretenders bettered it? Like the ones above or the edge etc.

Go for the TTDS for a tenner. They are SDHC compatible and you can put the custom YSMenu firmware on it that makes it have simple menu screens and folders ala R4, rather than just one long list of files to scroll through. The best of both worlds. You could also get the EZFlash 3in1 expansion for playing your GBA backups via the slot 1 for around a tenner, as well. It is also a rumble pak and expansion RAM.

Having used both I'd say the DSTT is better than the R4.

DSTT supports SDHC and is faster at loading games.

For those of you that don't have a card yet, "faster at loading games", as Hitcher says here, isn't a big deal. It probably takes about four seconds to load a game on the R4. :)

Yes, but those seconds add up. I've probably lost 15 minutes of my life to the R4. WHY DIDN'T I GET A DSTT??

New version of Tyrian DS out.

Savara.gif

This is probably one of my favourite pieces of DS homebrew and I highly recommend it. So go and grab it now!

<a href="http://vespenegas.com/tyrian.html" target="_blank">http://vespenegas.com/tyrian.html</a>

EDIT: Worth pointing out that anyone who is familiar with Tyrian and remembers there were all types of different secret codes to unlock ridiculously powered ships. Well, selecting Super Arcade mode from the OpenTyrian menu will allow you to pick any one of those fancy ships from a list.

I can't get this to work: I downloaded the full file (with music and data files, etc.), DLDI patched the ROM and copied it all to my card. No luck. I just get a Guru Meditation error on bootup. Gutted. ;)

Have you tried it without patching the ROM?

a lot of the flash cards out there automatically update the ROM on the fly.

Oh and don't forget the data files should be in the root of the memory card (but the actual nds file can go anywhere)
