I bet the pies at the Emirates are awesome.

I bet they start off full of sublime flavour and taste, but as you get to the end they just degenerate into a crumbly mess.

QPR?

In other news, 6m for Enrique looks like a goer.

Apparently he's agreed a move to to QPR on loan...not a sale but still, hopefully that will get rid of some of the wage bill...dunno how much of the wages they're paying though....

Not really seen much of Enrique but 6mil with add ons seems pretty good for someone I've heard very good things about.

Its going to be quite a strange experience watching Liverpool in their first few games this season with so many different players in the team. I am really looking forward to seeing how they will/won't gel together. Its certainly going to be an exciting season I reckon.

I still think letting Aquilani go would be a huge mistake though. If Cole and Jovan are out of the way, Gerrard out injured and Suarez rested for a few games, I reckon we need him even if he starts on the bench as he will bring a difference to the team.

60k!!!

I was just about comfortable with this when it was being 'reported' we would pay half his ridiculous wages. Not bothered about him coming on loan really, would have been extremely pissed had we actually bought him. One thing's for sure, Warnock will remind him of who he is, so he better have some desire about him and not be a greedy little prick if he wants to play. Only Taarabt can get away with that.

Why can't Torres just keep his mouth shut

"Liverpool has no bright future"

Would be a beautiful thing if we beat them next May to secure a top four spot at their expense (I'd suggest to win the league but think that might be a bit of a stretch for a few seasons yet).

I think most Liverpool fans have gotten over it now, so why does he keep cropping up with this shit.

It actually says "Liverpool's future does not look bright" sorry. But still.

I would guess he's asked questions by the reporter along those lines. No matter what you think of him, I doubt he's just doing it as a dig.

This. I dont really get why people are so determined to hate previous players. He has moved on, we have moved on. We got a lot of money for his transfer and he played great for us. I dont see what there is to be angry about.

His agent has spoken about him moving to a different club pretty much every day this summer. I don't think we're the ones pushing for a move (obviously he can't say anything himself in case he ends up staying).

He'd only be a squad player anyway. It's like when we had to let Crouch go because he wasn't happy just sitting on the bench. Useful for our squad, but that's not enough for him.

....and apparently we're contributing to Jovanovic's wages for 2 years too...

And yea apparently we've bought a Left Back...

But it's worse than that because Aquilani is a fabulous player and could potentially take our play to another level, given a run in the team. I refuse to believe that Kenny is blind to his talent, so this must be happening because he wants to go back to Italy. It's just so frustrating because I feel like he owes us. Rafa was patient with him after he first arrived and gave him loads of time to recover. Throw in the chat about phantom stomach viruses and the fact that he failed to make Juve pay for him, and I feel as though he should be coming back fighting for his place in the side. I am excited about our new CMs but a fit and focused Aquilani would be a real asset for us.

And regarding Torres: who cares what he thinks or says? I fully expect Villas-Boas to get him scoring this season but that doesn't change the fact that I'd rather have Suarez. If Kenny is successful in utilizing Carroll then we'll be laughing, whatever goes on at Stamford Bridge this season.

Like I said, i'm quite interested. I just think we're being a bit childish about it because its Torres and they way he left the club. If any other former player had something to say about the club they used to play for i'd be interested too.

Obsessing, no. Interested, yes :)

I'm as excited, if not more about the Suarez/Carroll partnership, next weekend cant come soon enough.

I should have been clearer: I wasn't accusing you of obsessing. But there is an element of our support that have been guilty of doing it, ever since he put in that transfer request.

Apparently word is now that the Jo Cole deal is still being considered...he may be kept.

I don't see an issue letting him go and getting him fit - then if we need him recall him?

You seem to be assuming he could just walk into our team.
