Loads more talk about stadium naming rights and if were going to move I Stanley Park.

As much as I'd be sadend to see Anfield go I think our only option to move to a 60k+ stadium. But they can't rename it. It needs to still called Anfield. I don't care if they name it the Warrior FSG Virgin Anfield Stadium cause no one will call it anything other than Anfield anyway. All they have to do it keep the Anfield name. I don't want a stadium that could change names like Wigans does every few years, I want something that's gonna have new history and a proper name.

To be honest that's really up to the fans. They can name it what they want, but if the fans refer to it by another name that's the name that sticks. I'd imagine people would be more likely in that instance to call it Stanley Park, than Anfield though.

I don't think meeting quotas is a valid reason as they should have no trouble meeting those requirements already. Downing may have the edge when it comes to crossing but I think N'zogbias an all round better player who scores more and is more likely to go past a defender with the ball. He's also nearly two years younger than Downing.

I hope I'm wrong about all this of course.

£18.5m for Downing. He's deffo not worth that, but you never know he may thrive around better players.

I just feel like everyone always has our pants down when it comes to transfers.

OH but in other great news it looks like Koncheski (sp?) is on his way :-D

Oh that goes without saying. But still it does feel like, British clubs especially, love to try fuck us over. But if we pay it, it's good business on their part I guess.

I don't think that's true. It's not as if we are the only ones having to pay these inflated fees for English players. Downing was their player of the season last season, and he's got two years left on his contract - it's only right he goes for a bit more than Young did.
