Have Sky ever changed what games they were due to show? I'm sure Arsenal vs Villa will be absolutely thrilling but Liverpool vs Spurs is sure to be a must win thriller for Europe.

The Europa is a nothing competition as Sky don't show it, so no.

If anything it would be billed as 'Who Gets the Poison Chalice of Europa League Football'.

But then at least it's a game people would be interested in, unlike a game that means nothing for both teams involved.

Thats weird, were getting the Spurs v Liverpool game live here, and FSC is usually just Sky Sports coverage anyway

Anyone else get their new season shirt today? Mine is boss and has Carragher on the back...

The new black one? Pretty tidy kit.

Intrigued by what Warrior will come up with when their kit deal kicks in (and will be nice to have a non-template kit). As hockey shirts are big on oversized graphics, maybe we could just have Skrtel's angry, roaring face emblazoned on our chests? One for the purists.

That's the one. Black and silver.

The new black kit are nice, a colleague at work ordered it today. Made me jealous.

He should have pre-ordered, he would have got a free hat, scarf and bag. All of which are very nice. Except the bag.

I'd like to see Aquilani get a run in the team if he's interested as we're still a little short on playmaker types, but if he's hankering after a move home then let's spend those wages elsewhere. Been so many names linked I don't know what to make of them all, but wouldn't be unhappy to see a bit more pace in our side. Agger being fit for an entire season would be nice too.

Otherwise, :omg:-Kenny-back-at-the-helm expectations aside, would like a decent crack at the top four, a cup run and some more reserves making the step-up. Almost feels like pushing a toddler over and stealing his ice-cream typing something so grey and reserved on this, the day the King returned. Scrub it, WE"RE GOING TO WIN...EVERYTHING AND DANCE ON OUR SHINY NEW PERCH!!!!!shift+1

Man, that new black and silver long sleeved shirt is pretty, pretty nice.

It's quite expensive with the number on but on the other hand my 96/97 Juventus shirt is starting to show its age after nigh-on 15 years of weekly service. Hmmm.

A happy Reina!

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/reina-i-can-t-wait-for-11-12

Pepe Reina has revealed how he is relishing the prospect of being a part of a bright future at Liverpool Football Club under the management of Kenny Dalglish.

The Spanish custodian was left delighted by the news that Dalglish had signed a three-year contract to remain as Reds boss on a permanent basis.

Reina is convinced the club are heading in the right direction with the Scot at the helm - and he's determined to assist in bringing major honours back to Anfield over the coming years.

He told Liverpoolfc.tv: "I am looking forward to next season. We have had excellent news on Kenny's contract, Steve Clarke's and all of the technical staff. We are heading in the right direction and we are optimistic.

"I have always said (I am looking forward to next season). Of course there was a bit of doubt back in December and January because we were not even close to where we are now.

"I think by making the right steps and taking them, we can all see the difference between now and then. That's why we are now optimistic about the future and are looking forward."

News of Dalglish's deal broke shortly before 1.30pm on Thursday afternoon.

Reina revealed he found out by watching television, but was left overjoyed upon hearing details of how the 60-year-old will remain at Anfield until 2014.

Reina added: "I was having treatment and I saw it on the TV! But I am really happy and the rest of the lads are too.

"We all have smiles on our faces now and hopefully it will be for long. Of course, we have to be calm because we know how hard it is to compete with the big teams out there.

"Fifth position is not the one that belongs to Liverpool - we aim higher and hopefully next season we can finish higher."

While confident of an exciting future for Liverpool, Reina's short-term aim will be overcoming Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday and securing European qualification for 2011-12.

"We are all looking forward to next season, but we have to finish the job on Sunday," he said.

"By winning we will mathematically be sure of fifth and that is our target - to be beat Tottenham, make sure we get into Europe for next season and then get some rest, which I think we deserve as well."

What is it with financial institutions and dull as fuck logos. Get Candy back on there and it would be amazing. If only Sharp could afford to sponsor United as well :(

I don't think the AON or Standard Chartered logos look particularly bad, to be honest. Granted, Carlsberg's logo looked pretty nifty on our kit but I think the current one looks alright.

Could be worse, with Forex or AIG making for grim kits.

I'm dead pleased for Reina too, those rumours of him going to Arsenal were exactly what we didn't need.

Reina staying would be a huge boon, hopefully any talk of him leaving will stop now.

Renovations might as well start on Anfield this Sunday too, because let's face it, the roof of the Kop will be coming off.
