I watched Liverpool last night and thought going forward you looked bloody good, slow at the back as ever but what a transformation. Selling Torres was probably the best thing you have done, enforced as it was it has changed the side for the better IMO.

Without Bale i think we will really struggle against you, Rose on right with Lennon otherside may well still expose your defence but i honestly dont think we will get anything out of you - the season for both of us depends on tonights game

As I mentioned a while ago; it's kind of good he's out. Means less pressure on the other players and they get to gel without him. He surely can't last that much longer unless he finds form again; he's been patchy this year and his injuries keep mounting.

How many of those injuries could have been avoided if Gerrard hadn't been played in matches where he wasn't 100% fit though? Hopefully the squad can be strengthened enough this summer that whoever is in charge for next season won't have to take risks with players who aren't in good condition.

whoever is in charge for next season

lol, how can anyone have a single shred of doubt that we will be managed by Kenny next season?

Commentators keep saying "I don't know why he's not got a contract yet" It's like... what does it matter? It's not as if Kenny is going to go to another club... and he's not a child who needs patting on the head by getting a contract now, he knows he's done a good job and i'm sure he knows the owners appreciate him.

I love the way he's handled the questions about his contract as well: "when we have something to tell you, we'll tell you. Nobody is under any pressure whatsoever". Just pure class, as usual.

Top Man Kenny, Just think where we would be if Kenny had not left on his first stint.

Now I have to look away in disgust when Alexandria Fergus take the league title this season :(

Cheers. On yesterday's first half performance I was convinced we could take apart so many teams playing like that, it was unbelievable stuff we were playing. Jay Spearing is a beast of a player - I know he probably tired himself out, but I can see players fearing him closing down on them now. With him, Kuyt and Suarez our attack is looking frightening. And they scare the players with their footwork too :P

I still think fifth isn't dead on, but there's obviously more pressure for Spurs to follow up a season in the Champion's League with at least getting back into Europe. We've had the luxury of getting fairly high up the table so that can be our bonus after what was. So yeah, you better beat City...!

And with American owners and scorelines of 2-5 including cracking strikes they'll understand that better than 1-0 victories!

I'm personally amazed what Kenny has done, I was concerned he wouldn't have it in him and still felt that pang of horror that I had when he left. It's just turning out very nicely indeed at the moment :)

His comments are amazing, he was being asked about usual speculative crap and responded with "if I was 40 years younger I'd still be playing, it's all ifs and buts".

It was mentioned he would be getting £100 million to spend in the summer, not sure if I was dreaming though.

I had a nightmare that we had nothing to spend in the summer and that we became a selling club. It ended when Kenny Daglish came to my house and ended up breaking down in tears on my door step

Was messing on with the predicator table on BBC site and as long as we win our remaining two games and city lose 2 and draw 1 4th is ours. I know it's a massive long shot but it's not impossible, football is a funny game sometimes.

Only problem I see is City have a much bigger squad in terms of quality compared to Stoke and I image Stoke players may be a bit more tired next Tuesday after the FA cup final.

That would be an amazing finish but even if we finish 5th or 6th. I am happy with our comeback & look forward to next season to challenging the top 4

I see we're rumoured to buy Gael Clichy in the summer. Personally I reckon he's been pretty average this season. Also it looks like his head's only been turned because we'll throw more money at him in wages than Arsenal.

Thoughts?

He's been terrible for ages now. Always prone to a defensive lapse, gets bullied easily, offers nothing going forward and is regularly injured. How much are you offering? ;)

I would imagine it's bullshit. His contract is up after next season so his agent is probably just doing his "thing".

I agree that he's been poor for a long time, but at the same time I wouldn't say no to him signing because I think our coaches could possibly sort him out.

He does some awesome chasing (but not quite reaching) opponents after he's let them pass and if you have a player capable of standing on the far side of the area to collect the crosses he misses putting in then he could be signing of the season.

As long as you don't need him to do anything going back or going forwards, he's great.

I would have to say that Dalglish has worked near miracles on the pitch this season and off the pitch he has indeed come across as class. You just know that the players have responded to him like they would have to no-one else, partly due to the legend but also cos his demeanour has been right. This has undoubtedly helped the young players he's brought in no end and they've all looked good.

TWITTER SAYS ALONSO MIGHT COME BACK.

Good old Twitter.

STILL IT MIGHT HAPPEN.

What about Aquliani too? Juve are arse, and he's due to do something. More midfielders, MORE! Exciting times.

Well 4th is now mathematically impossible. It was too much to hope for I suppose. Don't really care though, its been a brilliant 2nd half to the season, Liverpool are an absolute joy to watch and I would have laughed in your face if you'd told me back in November that would happen. I might actually have punched you for taking the piss.

I'm totally made up now and so optimistic - I'm gonna enjoy these final couple of games and really, really look forwarding to see what we can do next season. The others can do what they want - if Kenny can keep this team spirit and work ethic going, and the owners do their part then the sky's the limit. Bring it on! :)

Also, Luis Suarez
