Suarez being pulled back a lot; where's the yellows?!

Good to see Shelvey on, did anyone catch the freekick he struck for the reserves the other day?

Yeah, Dembele wasn't picked up by the midfield. Sloppy.

Bit silly though, Hangeland could/should be off by now - considering the penalty shout too.

Jesus now Skrtyl booked; can't believe Hangeland wasn't booked earlier.

Well so much for Shelvey so far :P

I am very pleased to have been wrong about Maxi - under Rafa and Roy I couldn't see what he brought to the team, but since Kenny got involved he has provided goal-threat (and goals, of course) and some guile down the left. Great to hear the fans singing his name too!

Suarez for number 5!

How many players have stepped up in this last few months. I don't think we've ever seemed like less of a one man team.

just the last few weeks we've had a 17yr old and an 18yr old thrust into the deep end and have done a top job

cracking goal by fulham there

Torres leaving was the best thing that could have happened. Kenny got it right again.

Jesus Fulham are dirty fuckers. Could have had a couple off here. No surprise considering the manager though...

This is one of the things that grated me for years. All I ever got of friends was how Liverpool were a 2 man team in Gerrard and Torres. If things stay this way no longer will we have that label. A great team performance tonight and Suarez is fucking unreal, that move right at the end there was amazing. So happy he's taken to the Prem this quick too.

Also,

the title is ours next season :P

Aye, even the most ardent of fans would admit we were very much dependant upon Gerrard and Torres - though to be fair to them, we would have won the title had they both been fit for longer in 09.

Still, we are becoming more of a unit now that play for each other; Suarez is class, Spearing (another one I am happy to have been wrong about) has deputised in the middle superbly well, Lucas has grown and even Johnson has started to defend a bit.

And we do still have Gerrard, Carroll, Kelly et al to come back and if nothing else, it will give the squad some competition for places. And how often in the last few years could you honestly say that?

I'm starting to eye City's position more carefully now, too.

13 goals scored in the last 3 games. Awesome.

Really hoping we continue on to smash Spurs, Redknapp style.

Surely Maxi has earned a new contract now, i heard that the club were considering of getting rid in the summer in an attempt to cut the wage bill by shaving off some the high earning non regulars. Keeping someone of Maxi's quality around the squad can only be a benefit.

Is it just me or does the team as a whole play better without Gerrard? maybe its coming to a time now where Gerrard cannot sinply stroll back into the team

As I mentioned a while ago; it's kind of good he's out. Means less pressure on the other players and they get to gel without him. He surely can't last that much longer unless he finds form again; he's been patchy this year and his injuries keep mounting.
