I don't see N'gog having a future at the club after another season. He's been there because we were bereft of anything up front but we've got too many good looking youngsters and now with Carroll and Suarez there is no future for him.

Cole I'm undecided on, there is no doubt he's been poor and he's not first choice. I could see him staying for cover if Aquilani doesn't come back but I'd prefer to see Aquilani given a chance as he's been good in Italy.

I think you lads are talking about two seperate chances.

N'Gog stole nipped in and took the ball off Cole just as he was about to shoot having beaten his man just inside the box. At which point Cole went metal at N'Gog for doing so.

The second was the break-away a couple of minutes later where Coles lack of fitness really showed up and he was out of breath, took a heavy touch and toe pocked it wide when he was on a one on one.

The bolded part is what I'm talking about. I agree about his breakaway chance at the end though. A few years ago he would have skinned those defenders and smashed that into the net

I'm getting good at this. I missed the game to go watch True Grit (girlfriend still on half term). Sounded boring but we won! Play on.

I'll be there* watching Sunday's game though :)

I saw on twitter this is our biggest unbeaten run in years?!

Really surprised Skytrolls got a yellow card for that tackle early on. Looked like he hardly touched the player and also pulled out of it.

Suarez looks isolated up top on his own...

However maybe the 5-4-1 (or whatever it is) may not work as well against a team willing to concede possession and sit off. Difficult for Suarez with two+ marking him tight.

Guess we will see.

So the formation change was pretty much forced. Not ideal and getting caught on the break might be a problem.

What does Gerrard offer us at the moment really? I'm saying this in the hope that he'll step up and do something in this game - he just looks a bit disingerested, of the pace, and not the same player he was a few years ago.

I thought that was in! Great turn by Suarez despite being fouled. Was Noble not booked for obvious foul on Gerrard?!

Now where's the booking there? Ref has been terrible.

And that's it, Reina beaten at near post - poor performance all round.

Can we swap Gerrard for Parker?
