Indeed he is - here's an article to provide a little background. Very exciting prospect.

Not to go over old turf again, but the idea that Benitez didn't know how to talk to players really is a load of bollocks, isn't it? IIRC Mascherano had a similar story when he was about to sign for Juve.

But fucking hell, Arsenal and Man U looked terrifying.

Who gives a fuck?! ;)

I'm extremely happy we managed to record an away victory, and one which wasn't just a lucky 0-1. Meireles seems to be relishing the role he is in at the moment, which does make you wonder where Gerrard will fit in on Wednesday. The biggest plus point has to be a clean sheet though. Its not happened often this season, and hopefully it might bring some much needed confidence to the back four.

Roll on Wednesday, another display like saturday's will certainly bring a smile to my face :)

I reckon the only place Gerrard can get into the team now would be at right back! ;)

He started a few games there at the beginning of his Liverpool career, it would be funny to see him have to play there...

Do we believe there's any chance of Aquilani returning a seasons end/staying/etc? Has this been mentioned anywhere at all.

It has, by him - he has said that he would like to stay at Juve. He's been great for them this season as well.

Juve have an option to buy (14m or so, not sure of the exact figure), but are struggling financially at the moment, so nothing's set in stone.

Yup, seems to be true. Ian Holloway's doing his pre-match press conference ahead of Man U game at 1.30pm. Could be interesting!

When Ian Holloway appears on Sky why isn't there a button I can press to record all his appearances on tele?! They do it for shit like Bones.

I know, gutted! :( I think he has had enough time to prove himself and has failed. I'd rather he was gone and we brought in some fresh blood. Looks like the Suarez deal is unlikley now too :(

What makes you think that? New owners have got a bit more cash than they let on I reckon...

From the ClickLiverpool link:

But reports in Holland claim that Damien Comolli, Liverpool's director of football strategy, left Amsterdam this morning following fruitless discussions with Rik van den Boog, Ajax's general director, after Ajax were understood to be demanding €35million (£29.8M).

I'm starting to believe that Kenny might be the man to get something out of Babel (and a few other players). Having such a legend giving you advice and showing interest in your development as a player could be just the tonic some of the lower confidence players need.
