I have the home kit - really dislike the away tho

Yeah., not my cup of tea either.

In other news, remember when the new owners bought the club and said they wanted to know what the fans wanted?

A NEW group that allows Liverpool football fans to speak directly to senior figures at the club is to be unveiled.

Anfield bosses have outlined a scheme that will see 17 democratically appointed fans liaise directly with the Reds owners.

Titled the Liverpool FC Supporters' Committee, it will meet four times a season at Anfield to discuss every issue affecting the club.

John Henry and Tom Werner, Anfield co-owners, will attend at least of the two annual meetings, it was promised.

Minutes from the quarterly gatherings are to be published on the internet within two days of meetings.

An application process will soon be underway with invitations to local, regional and international fans to join, along with those representing groups including ethnic minorities, disabled, under-18 and over-60s supporters.

The panel chosen to select the 17-strong committee consists of former Reds player Ian Callaghan, Bill Shankly’s granddaughter Karen Gill, Dave Boyle from Supporters’ Direct, actress Sue Johnston, Jack Stopforth from Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, comedian John Bishop and the club’s commercial director Ian Ayre.

The aims of the committee were described as:

- a forum for supporters to communicate directly with the club in a structured manner

- to help the club better understand the issues that most affect and concern our fans

- to give the club an opportunity to explain the thinking behind key decisions

- to enable fans to play a key role in helping the club achieve success on and off the pitch

- to provide a greater degree of transparency about key issues that affect supporters

Those appointed will remain in place until May, 2013 and will be instructed to liaise with fans on all aspects of the club.

...some of Torres link up play was great ;)

It was. It's amazing what he can do when afforded some space by a quality link-man, and a team playing pass and move. It reminded me of his partnership with Gerrard. It does beg the question of how we'd fit them all in were we to sign Suarez.

I suppose the other question is; does Kenny want to play this formation? He might want two up, then perhaps if one is injured he could switch back to this. Although then with two up who looses out in midfield...

I guess we don't know his gameplan as of yet, it does appear that he's galvanised the side and theres genuine optimism for the first time in years. Everyone seems to be pulling in the same direction at last. Owners, fans, manager, players.

With a bit more about us today I think Kuyt and Shelvey would have scored, Torres could have bent in that left footed effort in the first half, Maxi and Meireles also had chances that if better struck may have found the net.

For all their possession Wolves just lumped it into the box constantly. Their most clear cut of chances fell to Hammil who kindly fluffed his lines.

It's an important clean sheet too that cannot be overlooked. The defence improved in the second half and they needed to as Wolves were banging on the door for much of it. Let's hope that breeds confidence for the back four, yet the must not get cocky with it.

I had anticipated a change to a variation of 4-4-2 but I now think we'd be more likely to stick with this 4-3-3, and Suarez would play as one of the wide forwards. He's played on the left of the front three a lot for Ajax.

Suarez in Maxi's position? Adam replacing Poulson? (Who again did ok today.)

I don't think we'll get Adam; I don't see why they'd sell now for such a small amount.

----------------Torres

Suarez/Maxi--------------Kuyt/Maxi

--------Meireles-----Gerrard

----------------Lucas

Would be my guess. We've been linked quite heavily with Young as well. I'm just glad I can feel positive about football again.

[edit] I agree about Poulsen's performance today as well.

I don't think we'll get Young this January. Possibly in the summer. Hopefully Suarez comes!

I agree, watching Liverpool for the last year or so has been a pretty depressing activity.

But then again we had flashes of playing well under Hodgson, so this win means absolutely nothing unless we can get a result on Wednesday.

Think they'd only sell now if they're worried about losing him for even less come the summer (when he'll only have a year on his contract left).

I don't think the difference will be great enough to force their hand, unless we offer much more than we reportedly have, and the player starts making some noise. Not likely at all, IMO.

He went round the stadium applauding the Blackpool fans after their match today apparently - I can see him putting a transfer request in. But we'll see.

Suarez and Young would do us nicely I think.

Would Adam fit in apart from being a squad player? I guess when the chips are down it should be easy enough for us to beat Wolves 3 or more to nil; what when were against better teams?

An away win, and a pretty good one, really is heartening. Slowly Kenny has been instilling a pass and move game and the third goal saw that today. Perhaps Wolves were chasing, out on their feet, whatever. But it was more like the Liverpool of old and that's what he's trying to bring us.

Still really happy with that performance and clean sheet, made my weekend!

What's going on with Pacheco? One of Barcelona's best prospects three years ago, since then he's turned 20 but only managed five first team appearances despite winning the golden boot at the Under-21s European Championship, and a distinct lack of in-form strikers at the club over the past 12 months. I'd be itching for a return to Spain if I was him.

Well he's not really a striker, he wouldn't be able to lead the line like Torres. He plays in the Gerrard position and it's possible the coaches think he's still a bit too lightweight for the league at the moment.

He's been talked up by Dalglish in the last couple of weeks and made the bench in the last couple of games, so I wouldn't be surprised if he made a least a couple of sub appearances soon.

The thing is, selling now increases the chance of relegation. Survival to us means £40-50m. Even if his contract was up in the summer I'd rather he walked for nothing after keeping us up, than selling for £4-5m and risking relegation.

Not quite true. Adam is nearly always last off the pitch and always makes a note of applauding the fans. What he did yesterday was no different to any other game in my view.

A transfer request would be pointless. I think everyone at Blackpool is resigned to the fact we'll have to sell in the summer, but he's too important to our immediate future to sell. Plus, Adam will give his all regardless. He was trying just as hard yesterday as he has all season. So far he's handling it pretty professionally.

So basically, hands off Adam, yeah?

:)

I really hope we're not trying to goad Charlie Adam into putting a transfer request in. I'm happy with hard negotiations on the fee but it pisses me off when any of us 'big clubs' turn a players head to put a transfer request in and get the price down.
