I'd like to see Konchesky play tonight and do well. What do you guys think to that? He is a Liverpool player afterall and Aurelio looked a bit ropey the other day.

I'd love to see him play tonight and do well, although can we risk it seen as he hasn't done very well since he got here? I think Aurelio is just a much better player.

I've always liked Aurellio; however if Konchesky can come good then why not. Any player at the club we'd like to see do well, were already paying his wages after all.

Interesting news coming out of Man City; Adam Johnson is saying he might need a move to get games.

With Bridge already off on loan, can't we look at such loan signings?

I think a couple of players coming in this transfer window would be a boost and maybe a kick up the ass for a few players.

Will Babel finally get a good chance and, more importantly, take it?

I think Konchesky is a much better defender, Aurelio certainly has a better cross though. I'd just like to see it, you know? I think it'd be good for the whole club if he played and did well.

I mean the way people go on about Konchesky you'd think he'd replaced Raberto Carlos! Not Dossena, Insua and Riise.

Actually I hope Insua comes back. I liked him even when he was shit.

Adam Johnson would be awesome. Why doesn't he play at City? He's their best players isn't he?

I thought Aurelio kept an in-form Nani quiet. And if he can stay fit, he is a better player than Konchesky.

No, I watched him closely, he had a poor game but mind you he hasn't played much so it's to be expected. But even on form I don't think Aurelio is much of a defender, he's much better up the pitch.

Wish I could, would love to see their ground. One of the few old school stadia left.

Hardly, been totally knocked down and built from the ground up over the last 10 years or so.

(Best image I could find was from the MCFC website, bizarrely.)

The club even announced yesterday that the naming rights were up for sale.

I share a BFC season ticket with my sister (despite being a United fan). It's her turn to go tonight... She no longer wants to go now Gerrard is suspended.

Sorry, I didn't mean that the ground was old, I mean that it's not one of those bowl style or with an athletics track.

Your sister's loss, really.

I'm guessing tonights game isn't on TV?

It's on Abu Dhabi Sports, so streams will be available. Hope we see a similar formation to Sunday tonight, just with one less midfielder leaping into challenges with both feet off the ground.

Blackpool will obviously be bang up for it, and in the half-dozen games I've seen them play this season, they've been great fun to watch, so should be an open game at least. Babel looked lively when he came on against United, would like to see him replace Kuyt. We could use a bit more pace to exploit the inevitable spaces.

I've always thought Insua was a decent defender who has the potential to be a really good defender; lacks a bit of pace, but can defend and offer something further up the pitch. He's only 21/22 I think?

With regards to the Konchesky/Aurelio point, Aurelio did play a fair number of games in midfield once we had somebody else to play at left-back (Insua); he's more of an wing-back really. Konchesky is more of a full-back and by default should play, especially against a fairly attacking side away from home.

I wonder if Poulsen will see many more games in his Liverpool career though? Or if Soto may revert back to being cover (with presumably Skrtel and Agger starting now as the first-choice whilst Carra is out)?
