What a lovely positive start to (another) new era. People on Internet blah at each other.

Let's have a bit of happiness, at least until the game tomorrow ;)

You're being linked with Eljero Elia. Which would be a brilliant signing as Liverpool must have the slowest, narrowest first xi in the league right now.

Yep, we probably have the worst squad in the history of the Premiership. In fact, they should probably already be relegated.

I like Ngog and think with the right support he could become a good player.

He's obviously not a world class player, but I'd argue he is already a "good player". I think his potential is to be a great player, for that he needs a Torres thats playing well to show him how it's done and link up with him. There have been signs of that even amongst the "Hodgson" era so Torres getting a kick up the arse will be beneficial to both of them.

Babel can just leave, he's far too wasteful. His usual playstyle is to smash it as hard as possible as soon as he gets to the edge of the box - usually 6 foot wide, and mostly when someone is in a better spot. He's not alone, but others make up for such wasted chances.

The team in full is: Reina, Aurelio, Kelly, Agger, Skrtel, Meireles, Lucas, Maxi, Kuyt, Gerrard, Torres. Subs: Gulacsi, Kyrgiakos, Wilson, Shelvey, Poulsen, Ngog, Babel.

Johnson's wife has gone into labour, hence Kelly at right back.

Has anyone found a working stream yet? It'd be super if one of youse can pint me in the right direction?

PS: I hope Kenny does well, however it is beyond me why the board did not go a for a more long term choice. I feel Kenny is only there to please most of the disgruntled fan base, but he is unlikely to build anything stable.

IMO, Rangnick would have been the ideal, he walked out on Hoffenheim due to his idealistic nature, but don't hold that against him, he could be the real deal...

Tomkins wrote a decent piece about him the other day:
