Liverpool Football Club

Exactly, I always used to say I was proud that Liverpool fans would always cheer our team on even when losing, but now I'm fully behind the boos

Indeed. I'd rather it didn't have to come to that, but I'm hoping the fans in the ground are letting their feelings be known.

We just don't look like a team at all, and whose job is it to create that? I don't care how much people protest at the quality of the squad Hodgson inherited - our 1st team should be more than a match for most of the division. It's time for him to go.

All credit to Wolves though. They came out from the 1st minute and put in a better performance away from home than we've managed all season.

Comisserations chaps. Believe me, I know what it feels like to underpeform so badly

You fully deserved the three points, chap. Haven't seen much of you this season, but if you bring that organisation and effort to the table from now until May then you might well be looking down on us!

Just a rubbish night. Obviously it's not exactly a hardship supporting Liverpool compared to some of the ballaches other teams go through, but all things are relative. Watching us fills me with dread at the moment, just want a bit of commitment from our lads and a sense that they actually give two shites about wearing the shirt.

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson: "It was a performance way below what we are capable of and what we wanted to give. I'd like to give Wolves credit, but I think we were a bit unlucky to lose the game, probably 0-0 would have been a fair result. But it was nowhere near our expectations or hopes."

What?! We got exactly what we deserved. We weren't unlucky in the slightest. This is just embarrassing now.

What the hell has happened to Torres this season? Doesn't seem to have the same desire and hunger he had in the last few seasons. Even when he wasn't scoring then, he would chase down defenders and close them down.

Torres looks a bit like Lee Adama from Battlestar Galactica. This is that part at the start of season 3 where he gets really fat.

He should be whatever the result. These performances can't continue.

I love how the media are so bemused how Liverpool fans can boo players/the manager, as it's not what we used to do. Well it's because it's never been this bad, and unfortunately that's one way to communicate that to the owners.

Yeah, the owners think we're top of the league! Of course booing the result is fine, personally not so keen with booing off of players or the manager or calling him an owl faced twat.

But he's had til Christmas and things haven't got better. Time to get shot of him.

But who to replace him with? Dalglish would be a step backward. May as well build for the future. We need a young go-getter with a can-do attitude. Carragher seems the obvious choice but maybe all the players hate him?

It is depressing, the manager's rubbish, the fans are shit and the players are cack. At least the stadium's still just about standing. Still things can only get better, unless they get much much worse.

What were the ngog boos about?

I think this January window is going to be a real test of the owner's ambition. You can talk about it not being the ideal time to buy players, but there's only so long any club can continue down this road before things really do become desperate. Liverpool just desperatley need a new manager and at least two players of genuine class to come in to lift morale and improve performances, or who in their right mind would want to join over the summer after another half season of that?

Just got back from the match, fucking hell that was painful. Absolutely shite from start to finish and Hodgson just has to go.

What were the fans like at the end? I heard they were mostly chanting for Dalglish and "Hodgson for England".

Well, we started off trying to get things going (I was in the Lower Annie so fat chance without the Kop starting something) then as the drivel unfolded Anfield just got more and more quieter. Someone got chucked out for abuse and foul language, which riled people a bit but the second half was so bad that when Ngog went off, everyone (and I mean everyone) booed the substitution and started chanting HODGSON FOR ENGLAND, then DALGLISH *CLAPCLAPCLAP* DALGLISH...then there were massive cheers when Konchesky went off and Aurelio came on, but the final whistle was just a ton of boos drowning out the Wolves fans.

So yeah, everyone's had enough and outside the ground the theme was very much "Hodgson needs to fuck off".

Whatever happens, looks like we've made our first signing anyway:

rorysmith_tel Officially, #LFC making no comment on Sylvain Marveaux. Unofficially, I saw him with my own face at Anfield. Attended as guest of club.

A left winger apparently.

Not a great way to get the fans onside:

He said: "I'm getting used to the negativity. Kenny [Dalglish] was a rival for the job and it was given to me. He's a Liverpool legend.

"But I don't like it. It's the Kop's way of showing they are not happy with what the team is doing. We've had to live with negativity ever since I came here.

"The famous Anfield support has not really been there – there were problems with the owners and they have been singing for Kenny.

"I can only hope these 'fans' become 'supporters' as well because this is a time when the club needs support.

"The negativity does affect confidence."

Supporting a tower of faeces means you're going to get covered in shit. Tonight was that bad. I recorded the game on sky and watched the whole lot. I should have plumped for match of the day instead.

The team were devoid of ideas, passion, and they didn't seem to care. This does lie at the managers door. He's had them long enough now and it's clear they're not playing for him. Three points off the drop zone is not good enough.

I think the real test of the owners ambition will be if they believe that middle of the road Hoggle is the future, or if they want a manager who's actually going to be able to motivate his players and get them to play as their apparent ability dictates.

I'll just add that when all is said and done the Liverpool manager was out smarted and tactited by Mick McCarthy.

As far as I'm aware that's an act of gross misconduct and he should leave without any sort of severance package.

Whatever anyone says about our squad and last season, that was the bottom team in the league and they had one away point all season. No excuse.

Bang on. Roy cannot claim he's only been there for two minutes, that he's not had enough time to get his poor across. They've not played for 18 days; so thats a disadvantage now?! Surely plenty of time to prepare for a team who were by all extents and purposes worse than West Ham.

If 18 days doesn't work for Roy then the saying A change is as good as a rest should come to mind.

He would have loved it I'd we'd beaten lowly, terrible Wolves. Yet at the end of the day this job is too big for Roy Hoggle.
