Rubbish game, sad that Joe Cole's wife is the best thing you can say about his Liverpool career thus far.

Thought Kelly looked decent again and progressive down the right and Eccleston moved about a bit. Other than that though, not much good to look for; Poulsen was terrible, Babel's touch was poor, our midfield created nothing and we just never looked liked scoring.

Roy could have at least gone for the full face-rub again to keep us amused (he half went for it in the second-half).

To be fair to her, despite her lovely way with words, she is only reacting (poorly) to the abuse her son has been getting for trying to do a job. (Whether that is from a single person, a group, or whatever)

She shouldn't have chose such a public place to air those views, very naive of her.

I'm pretty sure that the tens of thousands of pounds a week he earns, and his transfer cut, does him alright. And you can bet it filters down to her too.

What an ignorant woman. Is this the one Gordon Brown met?

She has a good point , you Liverpool fans are like us Spurs fans , always living off the past glories.

Yours are far better than ours are though to be fair.

unfortunately i can't argue with that too much anymore. not that i'd compare liverpool & spurs so directly. things went to shit pretty quickly for us & i said at the end of last season, back to the top 4 pronto or we could unfortunately have alot more frustrating seasons to come.

still, new owners, hopefully some new players coming in - i don't like to turn on the manager but if there's a change it has to be right, and i have to say i'm getting sick of hodgson now. we can't afford to be one of these clubs picking through new managers as if it's the problem, mind.

and a serious question to fans, do you think our current squad of players up to scratch to warrant a champions league spot? with a fit squad it looks pretty good on paper, it's a shame the game is played on the pitch not on paper.

Our core is fine. We need a few additions in the short term and we have some very exciting young talent that will be ready in a few years.

Do we have the strength in depth to compete with the expensively assembled City and Spurs? Nope, it'll take a minor miracle to get fourth.

Living off past glories - do you think that's why Konchesky has come in for criticism? Because he's being compared to the great left backs in the club's history? Or do you think it could just be because he was a very unpopular signing in the first place, and he has subsequently performed worse than the bloke he replaced? You know, the guy we sent out on loan in the last year of his contract, without so much as an explanation. When you mention this 'good point' about 'past glories', are you saying we should accept that we are now in our rightful place? That a club with the potential that we have should just be happy with what is being served up?

Konchesky isn't good enough. Of the players signed in the summer, only Meireles has looked the part, and I'd argue even he was an unnecessary signing, given the Aquilani debacle. The rest are just a waste of money. I'd be happy with Paul acting as cover for his position, but he simply isn't good enough to play every week if we want to progress. The same can be said of most of our defensive line. To be fair to Roy, I think what he said to Glen Johnson has done the trick because he's really looked the part since coming back; the difference is astounding, really. However, Johnson apart, he's messed up our defence. No Agger, no Insua; Aurelio may as well not be here, Carra is past it but still playing whenever he's fit and has recently been given a fat new contract. It's just a bit of a mess back there now.

History isn't just a statistic telling how many trophies you've won and how long ago you won them. Needless to say Fulham are a club with rivalries, ups and downs, an historic ground and a loyal following who love their club every bit as much as I'm sure you love Liverpool. It's incredibly patronising to suppose that just because the club you happen to support used to be great they have any more history than a club like Fulham who have been around just as long. They might not ever have as many European Cups as you, but they're not exactly MK Dons either.

Being patronising would be my saying they had no history or taking the piss because they don't win x trophies a decade. As it happens, I simply don't know huge amounts about them beyond a few bits of information, hence the question. Which you've now awnsered to a degree.

Don't confuse me for a piss taker, I barely talk about other clubs on here, never mind troll them the word "even" was bad phrasing rather than a dig
