Saw the first 10 mins then missed the next 10 but caught the rest of the half and thought we have been ok.

You have to compare with our other away performances this season/year which have been almost all terrible so this is definitely an improvement.

Newcastle havent had an effort on goal apart from their goal which I think was offside (although only saw the replay once). We have had a couple of close changes with the clearance off the line from Enrique and the header that went just wide before half time.

The midfield is still far too close to the defence, but apart from that I feel the same as you, pretty much.

The main problem for me is that despite the pressure and that Newcastle have had to defend, I just dont feel like we're threatening to score. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong. Nando hasn't had much service to be fair, although his movement is still nowhere near as good as Nando of old.

Shocking how low our standards have dropped to deem that an improvement.

What a cunt. Have we ever won a game he has refereed? He just lets so much go, then he'll blow up for something innocuous.

I remember him being an absolute cunt every single time he refs us. Don't remember a win, maybe just once?

I've said it many times already and I'll say it again: he's not being used correctly. Did you just see the little Torres fucking up montage on ESPN? Did you notice how many times he was moving towards the ball as it was played into him, facing his own goal? How many times has he had it played in front of him in an even remotely dangerous area? Once, and he was offside. Once in 45 minutes. Time and again he makes the early run and is ignored. We're hanging on to the ball for too long, and a big part of the reason for that is that the midfield is too deep.
