I like Ngog I just can't see him developing his game to the point where he'd be guaranteed first-team player, although I'd love to be proved wrong. He reminds me a bit of Neil Mellor, in that seeing him come on always gives me hope he'll do something. He's better than Mellor though I think.

Credit to him he's done well this season for us, one of few in the team I can say that about.

Ngog isn't a bad player he's worth keeping in the squad. I feel the same way about poulsen and lucas, they're not bad players and they may be worth being in the squad. The fact that they're playing and that we push Meireles and Cole into wide positions really grates on me though.

Given the players that we have I think we'd suit a 4-3-2-1 with Cole and Meireles behind Torres. I'd also play Gerrard in the centre, I wouldn't have a 'defensive' midfielder on the pitch.

George Gillet's NASCAR team has defaulted on a $90 million loan and they're about to fold. Surprising news.

I've read that NESV own the companies that supply Gillett's team and have repossessed the team's cars! They've taken everything from him.

'But having gone to Naples after a derby defeat and getting a good goalless draw with a team no-one expected to get that is positive going into the game on Sunday.'

With a different manager I would've expected at least a draw.

'Of course, not many of the players who played on Thursday will get that chance to show that determination against Blackburn but what we did against Napoli we have done in periods in games in the Premier League.

'But that result in Naples will not only inspire the players who featured there but the players who were left at home.'

Brilliant. So no matter how well those players played on Thursday, they had no chance of getting in the team tomorrow. Way to give them confidence.
