Ramone, what do you think of Roy's assessment that we can consider ourselves unlucky today? Along with his 'too good to go down' (I'm paraphrasing there, obviously) talk?

The next couple of games (Blackburn and Bolton) are going to be very interesting; physical games where space will be at a premium.

Didn't these rawk folks blame the previous owners for the quality of the team and the poor performances? But, what? Suddenly it's the manager's fault! So the team was good enough. So... What a fickle bunch those crazy rawksters are!

The question is should we allow Roy to build HIS team? I don't think to. We got him to try and get more from a decent but underperforming team, not to build his own. Seems his motivational powers aren't up to it. We need that hypnotist, the one that convinces people they're awesome. The one I listen to.

The owners played a huge part in it but after all the arguments about Rafa underperforming with the players he had, there's no debate at all that Hodgson is out of his element. You and I can disagree for the next 5 years on Rafa but Hodgson's shown absolutely no aptitude. His past has shown that he either jumps around from club to club or just can't hack it at the top.

Fucking shit today, too negative, too unambitious and AGAIN none of our big name players stepped up the plate.

You could see Torres trying to get the midfield to move up the pitch to give him support.

Got a weeks worth of blue nosed grief to put up with now.

Thoroughly disillusioned.

Just listened to Roy's interview on the BBC website where he talks about how cruel the world is that we lost. He is also asked about if he feels under pressure - and doesn't even know how many league games we've lost this season (he says 5 at first - maybe he was just preparing for next weeks interview?)

Sigh.

torres was abject. We love him but let's not makes excuses for him. And we won't go down but that's not the point. A 7th place finish wouldn't be good enough. Roy's job is to get the best out of the players we have and he's not doing a very good job of it.

I don't buy into to hodgson being out of his depth or being tactically poor. We're not that much better than fulham and as I said tactics are no good to you if you can't pass the ball. Football's simple. A bit like our lillyallan. The lack of belief is the worry. Tbh weeks and weeks ago Roy said a few nagative things which struck me as the wrong thing to do. Aim for the stars and all that.

If simple is watching a game of football and judging a players performance for myself, rather than following the internet hive-mind, then yes, I am simple.

I'm glad you've chosen me to single out this week ramone, should be fun.

Just a week's worth? Unless we somehow win something this season, we won't shut these up for a whole year.

Allow me to get the ball rolling then. ;)

We were the better side, but not by much. But you lacked passion until too late in the game, which is inexcusable for a derby, and we had passion in spades. Roy looks like an old, frail man on the sidelines, and right now you need some fire and brimstone off the field as well as what you get on it from the likes of Carra and Gerrard.

However, you are way too good to go down, and once you get a bit of momentum, you will comfortably finish top half. In fact, I'd wager you'll be above us by Xmas.

So, yes, you're a shadow of what you should be, but now is the perfect time to start rebuilding for the next few years. Go and look in the trophy cabinet and cheer the hell up!

hey I said gerrard wasn't excellent today first, before anybody else! You thought he was the second best player on the pitch.

I'd love to agree with Jonamok but I can't see it. Not by xmas. Too many things appear wrong. Balance in the team isn't right. Who is gonna score all our goals? Torres is out of sorts (and lacking service. I'm sure we'll improve the team in the January window and relegation will be avoided, but the start has been atrocious and either the players have to step up or the manager will go because up to now the results and the performances have been unacceptable.

i can't believe we are actually mentioning relegation. Surely this team is capable of a top 4 finish, sure the squad is thin, and we are weak in a few positions but there is quality running through this squad. The fact that we are where we are is evidence that there are problems within the squad. Hodgson is on borrowed time, i doubt the new owners spent £300m for days like these, continue the next month like we did the last and he'll be shown the door.

That's been the story of our season, no passion, no urgency, no pressing. Hodgson's not got a clue.

If we did get any money to spend in January I wouldn't want Hodgson to be spending it.

Comment on RAWK: "If you gave Hodgson a tenner to go to the shops to get ciggies and beer he'd come back with birdseed and tampons."

People need to realise ramone owns an Xbox 360 not a Wii, he supports Man united not Liverpool and he knows everyone's name off by heart who he replies to.

King o' the trolls.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good troll when it's done right, but the key is to make others laugh surely? Unless you're a sociopath. This thread used to host the best footy talk on Rllmuk but now some of the brighter voices have given up in the face of Ramone's relentless drivel - seems a shame to me.
